Salary to be paid will be $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

* b% Y' j5 S% s1 e7 ]Duties include: working closely with graduate students and research
2 {. i( I/ w+ Y  @/ ftechnicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
& D- R% n4 }3 Q$ \8 cfor use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
0 I8 Q1 ]" O' @5 |! Oinclude carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
compounds by chromatography.

# U! Y4 s2 Y* @/ rQualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
9 R, G; D) C2 D* U1 {& dChemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
analytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
* `9 }- I3 j6 r" V4 Pseparations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
of a team essential.
This position will provide the candidate with experience in biochemical
( O1 }! X9 t& n3 Qand chemical research and would be ideal for students who ultimately
hope to work in these areas.
