The University of Alberta - Department of Chemistry is currently
recruiting for the position of Laboratory Technician Assistant - Job No.
5 \1 I9 G5 B5 j9195.  

0 ^6 u, D* r, f2 }0 ASalary to be paid will be $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.
' H$ C( a9 W5 v, j
Duties include: working closely with graduate students and research
technicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
7 ]! C: X  \; O( ]6 x8 H' R( \for use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
include carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
( x( {! B- Q; J0 gcompounds by chromatography.

3 b5 F* d2 Y8 YQualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
Chemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
analytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
separations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
% y) S) d, O' E8 O# K- @, x- O' eof a team essential.
This position will provide the candidate with experience in biochemical
* m  t7 Y! q7 u2 |and chemical research and would be ideal for students who ultimately
hope to work in these areas.
