' U! x, m4 x0 z. H1 iSalary to be paid will be $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

3 _2 O( K+ U  BDuties include: working closely with graduate students and research
! S5 l# }# y3 z4 F! Q8 [) V( K& ntechnicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
7 x4 L9 \) L9 F" x4 O% afor use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
% _. E: k/ C$ f  t9 S& finclude carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
) |. A# F  o) w/ Kcompounds by chromatography.

# J2 B" U4 B9 z' u. p" R9 N, nQualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
Chemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
% ?. W0 z& v: g$ V& z: x0 {# @analytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
' P3 q1 k' M! w$ {/ s& i& Nseparations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
of a team essential.
This position will provide the candidate with experience in biochemical
) D) J' g8 D! D; nand chemical research and would be ideal for students who ultimately
1 ?% B8 E4 o) y, N2 F0 S# K, c% Uhope to work in these areas.
