Employment Tenure: Part-time/Causal (approximately 12 hours per week). The incumbent’s k: a$ g3 s1 v! |! p: k6 u
schedule should be reasonably flexible.

Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and$ o2 s. J' c7 W1 U" L
weekend hours.
, j0 I8 S! o# p& a$ xYou will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
! N1 T! P, i- W a! p0 x8 |! ?lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
" }4 M& J* l' {# y3 N: C) n/ ~centre.: Q4 a0 `" ^% z, H0 |' t( D
These responsibilities include:" G/ M- B2 V+ P8 V
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.# C7 ~1 R& ^4 U9 k- G
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.) N9 J; u4 p* ?. L( x) D/ j* L/ V
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and$ o% K8 T* H, _* S
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to ( b0 x! C0 g0 R) { G, H1 \' s
facilities’ maintenance, etc.
# I1 f) p& f- o-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic ( _- {) g/ U2 Q- C
clients’ files etc.

/ h) S: v ]! r-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
9 P. ^5 E& _0 @; W5 ~- `education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination 2 G6 M5 p7 _& _+ H- a5 O1 I7 N. Y
of education, training and /or experience.
4 q4 Y( x8 O" VKnowledge/Technical competencies:5 a4 x4 j5 O- G/ r3 a9 k5 S2 }
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
" H3 k6 A; S! r) B9 U3 H-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word2 r c3 S3 z$ F" s1 c
and Excel. - p- p: D2 ~! u) E' g
-Experience using and updating an information database. * l6 o S3 R: \- _$ g/ G6 g

Assets:

-Experience in web page publication, xml and/or IT network knowledge.
