) z2 q) g1 I$ x5 U" uStatistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and
" D! h; P* s$ N* U# ^8 c) |7 j7 Jweekend hours.
% i2 B) c" H5 x2 fYou will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer1 h( N9 S0 d2 b4 N, G& n$ \
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
6 f8 d& ~' O! [9 s: L. D% v% jcentre.
& P5 p: s P# P7 `& x4 ~These responsibilities include:
+ _5 e2 J" w$ Y6 L! v-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
0 V. W- o- H: {. W1 r-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.; Q) g8 ~5 x% ^, J9 n
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
2 R5 @4 ^/ S# j1 R Frenewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
: p" Q$ ^" E, r+ o* {1 S) `facilities’ maintenance, etc. . E) l" Z5 c0 N. i/ X
-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic

Statement of Qualifications

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
6 q0 I7 h) y' ?- k' Beducation, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination 6 p* p- T6 t9 w( t, P6 o
of education, training and /or experience. & Q$ B5 m; K [& c; K
Knowledge/Technical competencies:
# G, i+ |1 |& r. K8 K, W8 c-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.+ }% O3 A4 N; u0 T5 a
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word
! ?8 E2 \- T" ?6 wand Excel. 6 ?: a# U- E* Y, l" c. Z
-Experience using and updating an information database.
