You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
4 C7 X' T4 G. j+ D0 a" N' J! G+ Xlab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
0 I: K: I" j$ R' K3 k6 O. hcentre.
1 M" K9 s; b4 Z/ A: N5 V, Y0 U% XThese responsibilities include:
' S5 n- f6 B$ Y; Z( ~. @/ V" N4 j-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.: Y0 ^: z$ P9 }1 E3 I+ g' N
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP." @8 l+ H0 W7 C- y
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and. {1 O z' q3 T& i9 U
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to . S" \/ h; V9 _! p5 j* [' _! O
facilities’ maintenance, etc. ( y" I' v) ]6 m: n D/ }+ o) i4 b+ y
-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic

Knowledge/Technical competencies:
, N3 \& ^6 {/ {0 b3 I-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
o8 V% m8 O/ m. ^: {8 Z1 _-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word
# X, n* A/ D5 L" k+ P) Wand Excel.
