Location: Research Data Centre, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta

Employment Tenure: Part-time/Causal (approximately 12 hours per week). The incumbent’s 4 C. V8 W- W$ X
schedule should be reasonably flexible.

Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and
7 A) V& D* q/ Y1 u4 M1 bweekend hours.
, ]4 d0 L; x$ `- oYou will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer, L- [7 h6 [+ N v$ x# N
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
* Z$ e1 J( b( v& b+ |: ycentre.4 C' ]4 a% g- R% B/ U! V
These responsibilities include:3 W3 X0 @! N) l# z: R! h' D5 h8 M
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
1 e+ R; }6 Z4 I-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
; J! u* W' L/ q2 Q-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
7 D' F' }( c. p- U7 yrenewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
) n& X; P1 O4 N+ q; z) t; gfacilities’ maintenance, etc.
$ Q Z! q7 V1 l3 ?! \5 ^* e. q3 ^-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic

# n( Y9 ]2 U6 n* t-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
7 D! ]8 `6 a# q( m, @1 l" b8 Neducation, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
; N" H8 p3 [" I' Y% fof education, training and /or experience.
7 x. L+ o+ ~6 s7 uKnowledge/Technical competencies:, O1 l+ e7 r1 ]) I3 o. Q3 k7 z' S5 n
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system., s& V% M& ]" {# q: D
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word( K' n D2 w1 z+ X; H
and Excel.
- Y% y0 |" k' B% a0 `; F* f9 [-Experience using and updating an information database.
