Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork
/ A; L0 \+ |) d
· Connecting and disconnecting trailers
! ]% G. J9 b' I0 V9 [; X. |$ T) d- y
· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections
9 q, a+ r* C. x7 ^7 b; p
· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
$ p$ W' X1 O5 ^4 m/ C
· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s
9 G$ r) N2 i& ]7 A. T
· Operate manual and automatic shifts

/ g0 ~5 q. K( j; |5 o6 j7 |& U· Secure loads safely

· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements

· Minimum 3 years experience
4 k* q3 k  Z, W
· Valid Class 1 license

· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

/ D# C) D2 o: S6 x: V· Load securement certification
! f. K' K, a; P* J- Z
· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

- Z( U6 |7 }# x3 N- j· Excellent organizational and time management skills

' R; ~8 p" n/ `2 c" `+ I# `& j· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.
