CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork
" B7 d! b# Q) N( [
1 y% I- |+ {/ T6 R· Connecting and disconnecting trailers
1 ?, V% ~/ I+ c3 H
! a2 r- R( Q# g' k; E· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

1 i9 f( ~. u: O5 h& e$ I- k% f· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

· Operate manual and automatic shifts

; |3 V, H/ a4 u4 J
2 e" t* g% l2 ~* D, }9 D- F4 Y0 a· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
/ h  D" r7 ]4 k# RQualifications and Training Requirements

· Minimum 3 years experience
, j* ]$ I& y5 e# U
· Valid Class 1 license

6 e; K, p( _$ \: g8 R# h· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

· Load securement certification

· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

$ R9 G0 C7 ]1 V% M3 c  T9 E* i· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

3 Q* g' v9 E: w8 E8 u· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
