Clarica was introduced in 1999 by Mutual life of Canada, and was acquired by Sun Life three years later.
3 Q# T. x: j7 @0 E* A, s& rThere are almost two million Clarica policy- and accountholders in Canada, said Sun Life. Clarica also has a sales force of about 3,500.

The company said the changes will be completed by the first quarter of 2008. Sun Life will incur a $40-million to $50-million charge in the first quarter of 2007.4 ]# _; B9 U8 D- b/ A
