Clarica was introduced in 1999 by Mutual life of Canada, and was acquired by Sun Life three years later.
+ v" V( }) N+ FThere are almost two million Clarica policy- and accountholders in Canada, said Sun Life. Clarica also has a sales force of about 3,500.

% }. ` F. O+ J9 E- L3 \; F OThe company said the changes will be completed by the first quarter of 2008. Sun Life will incur a $40-million to $50-million charge in the first quarter of 2007.5 u2 [; j4 W7 i0 S1 [
