As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:
) q! Q* u# P8 E+ u, W/ S% m' ~9 | c/ N* w
- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved.
" J2 `9 Z* T9 _4 B% _- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants. 6 o; ?+ O1 b% q( H: x! U$ n2 O; g, D
- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators.
# z1 s* T4 l0 n- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures. 7 @! c) c" W3 M. c9 x9 n' m8 i
- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence. ' b5 i( b9 X; ?* M
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction). 7 S* _" ^& d1 a) P# U8 i
- Managing shift expense budgets. / ^/ T' b# B5 H4 D7 Z1 k. f b

. z- u9 G- S+ ?! P- Previous supervisory experience 1 g: V' ^8 o: ?# H' d+ N
- Strong leadership skills
* F6 J8 q1 J* }; R- x1 \. m9 H- A minimum of grade 12 diploma
# P* t7 M6 ~' n4 J% P3 p, i- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
6 I& O2 H9 J2 V( M- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations / n* I8 K1 Z/ k% g$ H' l
- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.! _$ q. A5 H& V4 e! w7 R
