As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:
/ ~& f8 @) I7 }: P5 d$ N( `5 B( J) z5 J3 X! {# B
- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved.
: p5 _, h. h( ^4 @. T" i- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants. 9 |* `# D8 T2 q" Q9 A/ K7 t9 t
- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators.
4 { p, n2 ]4 M" z7 L3 j: C2 Q- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures. . t9 S0 f1 f1 h7 W
- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence. X0 K; h9 K9 Z1 V
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction). ! i7 C) g6 T& g5 n5 r5 e! F
- Managing shift expense budgets. g9 u3 j" n/ G' @
+ m( j- l$ U& C# x* }6 U% x5 CExperience and Education Requirements

! }# j/ M) @% _$ i; R/ _! ^- Previous supervisory experience
8 E3 c" G3 i% L; b( g- w% b- Strong leadership skills ' c0 O- p) n6 S7 X3 s
- A minimum of grade 12 diploma 3 l, r7 d( L' ]0 m8 _% J$ O- }4 S
- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
# E# D1 A3 g8 G" B$ d8 V0 q; U3 _! b- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations
