Job Description :  Description of Accountability

As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:

# {: a! V& V! n; h' t4 b: ]4 D- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved.
+ a9 Q/ }' H) l- o+ D/ c- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants.
- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators.
/ \, c, N3 D4 }" Q) b- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence.
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction).
+ R: k/ h6 Q, g" Y. Y6 S- Managing shift expense budgets.

- Previous supervisory experience
: w* A( ^+ P4 u- Strong leadership skills
- A minimum of grade 12 diploma
- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations
( T2 s/ I9 I3 `- O: `- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
