Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs
, i9 n% o+ K1 U5 }* _Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
5 B/ A" k! K" h' \/ u2 N6 ?, QArrange for equipment purchases and repairs
Recruit and manage kitchen staff
Rectify arising problems or complaints
9 y* H$ k2 d, J! _+ |9 y$ }Give prepared plates the “final touch”
Perform administrative duties
/ s/ Y3 y* W) u4 l$ cComply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
7 r* E/ V/ U) j, `Keep time and payroll records
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Excellent record of kitchen management

Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
