$ k; ? V* V5 Q1 v3 l; Q+ qA police investigation revealed that between August 15 and September 19, the unnamed company made 1,907 trips to the waste management facility located on Yellowhead Trail and 170 Street.
$ q1 S; t) D; F, y! IPolice say the trucks were transporting loads that were overweight by a least one tonne each visit. One truck was recorded as being 17.9 tonnes overweight.& |, ~+ R2 F$ j
"The company is facing a fine of just over $3 million dollars," said EPS Const. Dave Beattie. "It's a big fine, I'll give you that, but for the police it's not about the value of the fine, it's about keeping these roads safe.": f7 S/ i I N( u, R; M1 U4 w& q
