1 Tbsp (15 mL) cornstarch

J0 L" F' Z' q2 1/2 Tbsp (30 mL) oyster sauce- w4 K" f8 o, a$ K
2 Tbsp (25 mL) light soy sauce
; Q4 a0 W) K& b$ U3/4 Tbsp (10 mL) dark soy sauce
- U" k% }% X# }+ F5 j' h1 Tbsp (15 mL) sugar
3 i8 e; a( G* w5 }' B3 Pa few drops of sesame oil
3 x: D6 p" Z+ t. D. t. U, p2 cloves garlic, crushed% W! O# B4 y% v5 R& Y
1/2 cup (125 mL) chicken broth
1 @/ {. C0 y! R' B# M! B3 B; E2 Tbsp cornstarch (if desired)

Slice beef and mix together marinade ingredients. Add marinade to beef and marinate for thirty minutes. Add 1 1/2 tablespoons of oil to beef, mix in thoroughly, and marinate beef for another thirty minutes. While beef is marinating, prepare the vegetables. ! O6 b" S9 I' d8 l( F# Q* f
Heat wok and add 1 cup of oil. When oil is ready, add beef and stir-fry until it is nearly cooked. Remove beef and set aside on a plate. Drain the wok and wipe clean with a paper towel. R/ U; Z" `3 J. ~' |
Add 1/2 cup water to wok. Bring the water to a boil and add the broccoli. Cover and cook until broccoli is cooked through. Drain the wok.
! T5 e0 I; I9 v- h9 l' P% D( b3 aHeat wok and add oil (about 2 tablespoons). Add the garlic and stir-fry for about 1 minute. Add vegetables and beef and mix together. Make a well in the middle of the wok and add the sauce ingredients. Add cornstarch, stirring to thicken. Mix sauce together with other ingredients. Serve hot.; y7 y0 M2 k9 X6 e) s
