1 Tbsp (15 mL) cooking wine; Y3 P b/ O; n; g3 a* v

1 1/2 lb (750 g) broccoli, flowerets removed, slice on the diagonal into thin slices2 [' t% C2 v8 p+ y6 d
1 cup (250 mL) cooking oil
/ C7 Y8 ?' Q+ n. V; g4 G6 @2 1/2 Tbsp (30 mL) oyster sauce+ Z5 k R$ X4 D& L) w
2 Tbsp (25 mL) light soy sauce
4 D# j* e2 W4 B# c3/4 Tbsp (10 mL) dark soy sauce
+ R+ U1 A8 t7 W9 n" h1 Tbsp (15 mL) sugar
% z5 J. c1 P& w* J S8 C- oa few drops of sesame oil
7 G+ G' }9 M" \* b: @7 x2 cloves garlic, crushed
7 q) O& [( \& W: w- o+ r$ M1/2 cup (125 mL) chicken broth5 y# o5 A! p: D4 n: j
2 Tbsp cornstarch (if desired)1 R- o/ I7 _/ Z- R

Directions:7 P" ^+ G0 M2 D7 z9 c; F" z
Slice beef and mix together marinade ingredients. Add marinade to beef and marinate for thirty minutes. Add 1 1/2 tablespoons of oil to beef, mix in thoroughly, and marinate beef for another thirty minutes. While beef is marinating, prepare the vegetables.
3 j- s" C$ F e1 y3 Z8 @& GHeat wok and add 1 cup of oil. When oil is ready, add beef and stir-fry until it is nearly cooked. Remove beef and set aside on a plate. Drain the wok and wipe clean with a paper towel.7 Z H# B0 S+ z4 ~* T7 Z
Add 1/2 cup water to wok. Bring the water to a boil and add the broccoli. Cover and cook until broccoli is cooked through. Drain the wok.
$ J2 O; k: p- tHeat wok and add oil (about 2 tablespoons). Add the garlic and stir-fry for about 1 minute. Add vegetables and beef and mix together. Make a well in the middle of the wok and add the sauce ingredients. Add cornstarch, stirring to thicken. Mix sauce together with other ingredients. Serve hot.9 _1 M |) Y3 g6 E6 ~ t
