1/3 tsp (1.5 mL) salt

" ?) t3 a% T4 A* a1 1/2 lb (750 g) broccoli, flowerets removed, slice on the diagonal into thin slices* E \2 d! W& s- a
1 cup (250 mL) cooking oil
9 Z1 q+ Z3 H$ K* Z% `" P2 1/2 Tbsp (30 mL) oyster sauce. Z& u1 U# p. p4 o1 m ?
2 Tbsp (25 mL) light soy sauce
. O6 {) M6 O2 R# C- x3/4 Tbsp (10 mL) dark soy sauce

a few drops of sesame oil% {$ a4 v- l7 s) y/ K- o* i2 p* z
2 cloves garlic, crushed" t! r1 a0 V4 W9 S* _( V
1/2 cup (125 mL) chicken broth" U1 u7 [: W# y+ @' K
2 Tbsp cornstarch (if desired)

Directions:
5 }- R" u6 d6 P4 q& W) u. nSlice beef and mix together marinade ingredients. Add marinade to beef and marinate for thirty minutes. Add 1 1/2 tablespoons of oil to beef, mix in thoroughly, and marinate beef for another thirty minutes. While beef is marinating, prepare the vegetables. 2 B! Y7 M: N7 X. _5 O
Heat wok and add 1 cup of oil. When oil is ready, add beef and stir-fry until it is nearly cooked. Remove beef and set aside on a plate. Drain the wok and wipe clean with a paper towel.- A! Z$ u3 I$ G: \4 M
Add 1/2 cup water to wok. Bring the water to a boil and add the broccoli. Cover and cook until broccoli is cooked through. Drain the wok. 5 w% h4 j3 Q" e+ L" e
Heat wok and add oil (about 2 tablespoons). Add the garlic and stir-fry for about 1 minute. Add vegetables and beef and mix together. Make a well in the middle of the wok and add the sauce ingredients. Add cornstarch, stirring to thicken. Mix sauce together with other ingredients. Serve hot.+ g9 h7 {+ a5 K* i/ v* A, O5 X: d
