4 g5 v5 [* X$ v J/ KThe item, which turned out to be a DVD player, was reported to police just after 8:30 a.m. and officers swooped in to shut down entrances to the shopping centre.3 F* A& h E8 s- ?( G- M
- G& H& h9 S* G2 O" LPolice evacuated the mall, and a short time later determined the package was merely a DVD player left on a bench outside the SportCheck store.1 P1 i' G- A3 Q# J g, o

"I think we made a very measured response and dealt with the safely issues appropriately," said Staff Sgt. Steve Jones. "We just contained an area within the mall."
