(a) drive a motor vehicle on a highway unless the motor% e% v P9 M0 p
vehicle is an insured motor vehicle;, \: B, y I8 Z
(b) have a motor vehicle on a highway unless the motor

7 A! l; t- z4 f! Y" k(c) where a person is the registered owner of a motor vehicle,* @) n* i9 g% d% n0 \* y3 z
permit another person
" ]! G. |6 {2 K: u$ n3 W5 Q; S(i) to drive the motor vehicle on a highway, or
! x4 v* E: S3 q! S(ii) to have the motor vehicle on a highway,

(d) give or lend a financial% B: m# A& y5 ]; [2 ?
responsibility card or a copy of it8 [* t% L3 v6 X" Y2 I& ^
to a person not entitled to have that financial

" r' k' U7 v0 nIf a person drives or has a motor vehicle on a highway
% ?/ G: F; v+ a- j# {( dwithout the expressed or implied consent of the registered owner of. p; _, b9 a! j8 a' F' q
the vehicle, that person is deemed for the purposes of subsection3 Q* o5 S! S2 i2 i+ {
(1)(a) or (b) to drive or have on a highway a motor vehicle that is
! {1 g+ z0 s. w! X7 {not an insured motor vehicle.

If the registration of a motor vehicle is suspended under this

by an insurer who has issued an owner’s policy! a9 d* J, D! k. Y: Y
outside Alberta.& N& `- D3 E, g* J( d- y; j( K
(4). J2 G) O. E5 R" B: C5 z: [
A person, other than a corporation, who contravenes subsection
2 I- W4 G# I6 W- |: x5 n(1) or section 52(1)(h) or 167(8) is liable,) J0 z+ u- z0 J; p4 Y
(a) for the first contravention, to a fine of not less than $2500/ L/ {+ q, @1 t! Z
and not more than $10 000 and in default of payment to4 I5 Y+ Q$ O/ F0 P4 `
imprisonment for a term of not less than 45 days and not
& q" Q5 j. \ fmore than 6 months

Minimum $2500, if you don't pay, you will go to jail for a minimum of 45 days. |
