Overall function of this position is to develop the East Asian customer base of the company. The purpose of the Business Development Rep is to drive new business in his/her territory, while maintaining profitable sales1 [0 v6 r$ _5 n

Key Responsibilities:

• To initiate, follow up on and negotiate opportunities with potential customers for the intended purpose of ‘signing’ them as new business. This is measured through in-store customer sales. 

) L7 D+ d( `1 s V- R' W! c• To develop the customer base through cultivating leads & opportunities and be able to convert these into regular customers.

1 g) P$ J0 G0 J' a8 M# T• To be accountable via daily sales call reporting in real time, measured against territory growth (non-tobacco store sales) vs. the previous year.

• To execute focused selling in a large territory targeting the food-service industry, maintenance calling on high volume KEY customers in foodservice, convenience stores, small businesses, clubs & organizations.) k8 Q! G( L1 w; A+ C

• To execute the division’s promotional and marketing programs in conjunction with the overall business plan. Accountability via customer buying activity during the period measured through store sales.9 N+ T3 z; a+ `! O* l8 S( r) q F" Y

• To manage all aspects of customer inquiries leading to regular store visits, including initial store tours.

• To build extensive product knowledge over various categories and be capable of driving sales in achieving sales & profit targets.: X5 W( x+ L. l# V) E8 l

, ]' k/ k/ {9 O8 Z9 g• Ability to speak English and Cantonese or Mandarin 

4 b- q9 l4 s0 a7 I6 \$ I• Proven experience meeting aggressive sales targets.

' A1 D& c$ a" `& \• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.

* M, ?* a0 N4 n" q9 \' p• East Asian Food Service and/or Wholesale sales experience is desirable.

* B- l+ g# E+ Z- t2 J% @0 B• Superior communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
+ p# f/ ?3 f) o8 r
• Travel within the assigned region.
