Job Description:
To acquire and maintain a solid base of customers, attaining a high level of profitability for the property. You will be accountable for generating budgeted revenue through development and implementation of a sales & marketing strategy.

• Solicit new business: Locally Negotiated, leisure, association, tours, sports, group markets and incentive travel through planned personal calls, mail outs and telephone solicitations.
• Develop and execute annual Business Plan and Sales and Marketing plan to ensure top line revenues are achieved;
• Execute individual travel bookings, group bookings, small meetings and catering business;
• Provide professional leadership to the sales team with a strong focus on achieving budgeted revenues;
• Investigate/follow-up on all Sales leads maintaining an effective trace system in order to convert potential business, lapsed business and maximize on repeat business.
) [, E  T3 t* N$ J6 x• As part of the hotel's sales team, assist in the creation, planning and organization of any in-house promotional efforts of the hotel;
• Work with National/Regional Sales initiatives;

5 O$ c. w' a2 s& w# k+ D& ^• Attend public relation functions; Participating in community and trade boards and committees on behalf of the hotel;
• To participate in Revenue/Yield Management meetings; Increase Market Share;
7 K; F& L- B+ e8 [• Maintain close relationship with reservations and front office staff;
• Ensure top level delivery of expected guest service;

Requirements:
•1-2 year of Sales or Supervisory experience in a Limited Service Property or Full Service Property
$ H5 J& f' f* O$ F. Q6 f• Ability to deal with all levels of management, staff and businesses in a professional manner;
( y3 Y' G2 N; G) `• Ability to lead and develop;
# n3 u( y$ {! Y% v6 s* Y• Background in the development & execution of business, marketing and sales plans and operating budgets;
+ l2 u; b. l# b2 u! F2 z• Proven record of development of sales and marketing efforts;
/ M& O4 h$ d# L* |, e• Excellent oral & written communication skills; Strong organizational skills and be detailed orientated;
" ], t4 k" K0 s, z6 l3 j5 z• Ability to work within deadlines;
9 s2 r$ B4 o$ j$ \• High level of creativity and innovation;
$ P0 G! n) U) _8 d7 @& g" H• Proven ability to manage multi-tasked assignments;
• Strong interpersonal skills and a working knowledge of ACT, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
