Position Title: Outreach Worker

-promote the Centre and ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
-promote Centre and ISP programs in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
- ]2 K; j9 j" G0 C, W-develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP and Centre
-recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
-promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
0 h: E4 O% u# X& A# S. @% F7 d-outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
-attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
-adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
3 A2 z$ E3 e# G% I4 x-report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
-recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
% v. e5 B% s1 a/ p-assist with front counter services as needed and assigned
-other duties as assigned

Qualifications
-degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
  p! o/ _: e& i( S-knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
1 S; ]) N, |7 L+ T2 Q! E( K5 w-good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
( a5 X5 s7 H5 J# s$ H% R1 @( b4 i; ]-fluent in English and Chinese
-good interpersonal and people skills
