$ X) b+ W) |7 A-        Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment  
% M4 f3 M" E6 i  K( G-        Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
. I3 o  F% y  w$ `9 m' {; t  W. Y-        Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
: e! _8 L8 y& X-        Select type and size of pipe required
-        Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
-        Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
-        Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
-        Test system for leaks using testing equipment
-        Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
# U  c7 w  c/ h; N6 Q, y% C1 w-        Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
-        Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program
-        Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

: m# J! [9 j4 D6 Z6 G8 e-        Completion of secondary school
-        Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
! K. \# i$ x2 Q  C. _* ]-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
-        Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
-        Safety tickets are considered an asset
* [9 z  Q$ ^# n# w% h, z; _/ N6 b-        Valid drivers’ license is an asset
/ O0 Q* I8 ^- Y9 K/ M-        Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
-        Valid driver’s license is an asset

-        Completion of secondary school
-        Completion of a four year apprenticeship program

  R( N9 e, b* {# O- c-        Trade certification in Saskatchewan or Interprovincial Red Seal
-        Basic English communication skills
-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
-        Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting
