; e; N' c9 j# [7 P, j# wLocation: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

Responsibilities and Tasks

-        Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment  
+ r1 P* ], E5 W7 D& r( b-        Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
/ V4 P$ D: e; P+ \# z-        Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
-        Select type and size of pipe required
-        Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
! H. e% q" r/ o) T$ `-        Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
-        Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
1 }6 z- r" X1 a# Q% d8 M-        Test system for leaks using testing equipment
0 I+ |; t5 d" L-        Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
-        Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
-        Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program
$ v( S% G" F& q+ M* K9 f( a9 q-        Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

Required Qualifications
, a: V* s& `4 d  A/ }+ G+ _
-        Completion of secondary school
- q4 @* z/ d6 I-        Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
, c: c1 n5 l! t. I$ A& r-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
7 {- x7 c& n" T9 c; o" T* U-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
-        Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
-        Safety tickets are considered an asset
-        Valid drivers’ license is an asset
-        Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
