8 y( G8 |( ~8 W9 KLocation: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.


Responsibilities and Tasks
; z; }4 D/ \/ U* c, h$ ]3 {
-        Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment  
* K, A& d6 I, ~$ Z-        Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
-        Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
3 \! s' S6 [- \3 p6 f-        Select type and size of pipe required
1 |2 [. X' U- v# q0 D-        Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
-        Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
-        Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
$ C' Z) X$ N$ {7 ^/ ]-        Test system for leaks using testing equipment
: q  v6 f- ]2 d, P% T-        Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
/ e/ y1 X) g! L( d-        Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
-        Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program
" O( M2 ?  M( B9 w! s-        Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

-        Completion of secondary school
-        Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
* W- T. o1 D% G% h2 _! {-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
-        Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
