* ~0 m. c( s& y: ?! [  _Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

! Z( _' u- j: Z+ l& u5 DResponsibilities and Tasks

" Z! N; j& I& \) z" \. U  {4 n+ d-        Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment  
" T* K* \; F( A# \# N# C) A3 K-        Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
8 I, h; X! x2 ~9 L, _: G4 p7 e-        Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
-        Select type and size of pipe required
! A3 o: g+ a( j- G5 m# g-        Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
-        Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
-        Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
-        Test system for leaks using testing equipment
& d4 Q2 l% C, H-        Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
$ j- c8 i1 [) I( [/ b( D& c2 c-        Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
-        Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program
1 e, g" n4 `( D8 a' }. M6 d-        Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

Required Qualifications
; F6 a2 f; o# N' N& A
) |$ a( }- m+ q: Y' ]-        Completion of secondary school
-        Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
8 j1 S% @4 o# _8 v* L1 Z$ n, \-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
7 F# Y% ~! K$ M9 X/ M-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
-        Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
-        Safety tickets are considered an asset
-        Valid drivers’ license is an asset
-        Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
-        Valid driver’s license is an asset
