Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.6 i" U/ {4 ^1 M

Responsibilities and Tasks% `3 b; m! t. J9 X: N+ H }4 E+ a
; o H' K9 D* Z- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment
: [* {5 C' D6 |, q! a. ]- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements) Z7 n+ R& N0 v' C2 I
- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
8 Y) [) p) y) _" e6 ?; F- Select type and size of pipe required
. z' B& l" z1 x$ `8 a- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools S* `0 P5 c* i( a( b* c& F" v* ^
- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system& l$ a1 Z) W3 P: d1 C1 T
- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems: A. N9 V- G1 H
- Test system for leaks using testing equipment
4 Q! X7 Y7 k+ p- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
' j" S! ]: S* v- g. p. v2 E- Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system

- Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

Required Qualifications

+ A5 B. `& Q- R6 N8 P+ Q3 \- Completion of secondary school
' H" v9 a6 A/ T' p0 R- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
7 T* \2 t# V8 U" e1 D: Y- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals" ]( `' P+ c9 s9 k( u- X( ]
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. M% ]$ D( v0 a% L- m2 V; [
- Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
' p7 a1 \, V6 L9 e- Safety tickets are considered an asset

- Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
