Posting Title:  Journeyman 1 Auto Mechanic (Automotive Service Technician)

Compensation:  Journeyman 1 Automotive Mechanic (or 4th year Apprentices)  M8 {$ C' \8 q" h) X% h- S& I( ~
Your Choice of Hourly or Flat Rate (Salary under review, Rates based on experience.)  x' K2 W9 K' B) m% O! u3 u
Hours of Work:  This position works 44 hours per week. + A% L0 ]" u$ H4 \) d( h4 w
Days of work are Monday through Friday, Saturday rotation.8 n9 t+ j3 M8 O1 A9 T$ ~

Full-time journeyman to maintain and repair an assortment of vehicles with emphasis placed on preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities include:# i* Q! R# D- i0 x4 o

  O3 [! I  |1 P8 I1 c9 x2 o4 g, uDiagnose problems and perform all types of repairs to a wide variety of speciality vehicles 1 u4 I& s9 X" Y* i' |( b9 {- }0 g
Requisition parts and materials, as required.
. I* Z0 ^8 ^5 h8 M' o6 }# NCreate and complete work orders, gather fleet information and input data into the computerized management system.7 O0 U: }. p0 |( }; a
Provide specialized training and guidance to apprentice(s).' K6 _* x7 S: a# ~% o; v
Access technical information using Snap-on Shop Key on-line automotive support program and communicate using e-mail.# q& P3 m  L( I* e+ r+ z1 j) l

Qualifications:
7 M- w9 Y0 x3 q- V2 R$ Y' X( t; z ) D. G- y2 B$ S/ u+ w7 o* \- f, e
Applicants must possess a valid Journeyman Automotive Mechanic certificate or equivalent recognized by Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training.
3 M0 }) ]/ _5 O- T# a3 U% k$ w& WApplicants also must have a valid Class 5 Driver's Licence (or provincial equivalent).
/ T! @; U8 D0 F3 t  V: Z3 ]' lPreference will be given to those who have current experience diagnosing and repairing North American and/or foreign vehicles. , \! X7 D, \" ~+ M4 H

Only education obtained from an accredited institution will be recognized as meeting the minimum qualifications.

A Driving Abstract with no more than six demerit points (current within three months) must be provided if contacted for an interview.  Q% P( R$ \1 o' v  T( l7 t6 _
