Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. / \. @: o6 s4 [( i) }

K- l1 ~- u# ]$ e7 q! p- Z" P8 _/ B• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
6 n1 ]& v9 ?2 K% Q• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
6 c6 t" \- [4 [5 q+ j• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
7 \4 G2 P3 w! `8 M2 d• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter2 n3 U, ^5 e1 j/ Y
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents1 E, n+ W! S r
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker1 b. K3 E% X, m* E$ C
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
$ K0 N& k1 v( v" A• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
+ S0 [9 ^+ E2 {$ M, M& e• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
: d4 _$ s* X4 y) A u• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:# m+ ~, [7 M+ E: P$ }
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
2 z# h9 c) c; A• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset( N4 h9 u. N5 y% f7 {
• Good English writing and oral communication skills

% _+ q% S/ E& b/ V3 ^/ m+ t1 H" F/ E• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:/ M$ j1 N; k$ d' }) t& @
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
2 B3 B( S5 L1 q2 E3 Z• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
0 k/ g: T. s2 O" F• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism- I: \1 x l: j! L8 P2 A6 V
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision- f: J$ G$ V/ o2 ?" |
