Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. ; ?: Z2 o/ `" r' Z' e/ Z

Key Responsibilities:" D+ v9 b6 V! T7 V" W3 G; e8 S
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person( ~) f1 q4 ~. L: @! m q2 g2 {. q$ e
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
5 n. S/ }0 ?# R• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately8 h) C- e$ u# g# P1 n6 ^3 Y
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter) B2 F4 M- c* c# j* S7 u m; u
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
W- J) b9 \% W( Z4 I( x• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
# V* l$ D, {0 P. I- r! P! `3 Y• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
$ J. I: N7 Q$ y( L9 o7 X• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events2 l! u# l8 L% Z Y; o
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean4 s$ f' z @5 ?7 x
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

; @# {. X R' J: S• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person& m+ V+ w" A, n: s
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset- |) K2 L9 D* |% ^/ M( z4 a6 R
• Good English writing and oral communication skills( d! z, d. G& S+ u; @! F
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients7 C8 n1 ~; U$ h0 W" g. [, K5 M" i
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook, p5 Y$ O, [9 {/ T' I
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately 6 X& X, g6 A! l9 Y0 E5 X5 o/ R
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:
4 k. m0 L6 n( C+ O• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
3 v( f3 ~2 T6 Q0 s {1 i5 v• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment$ z, j) n! ~% L4 w1 b. f8 x: `
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism1 T' d1 A* B8 | r
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
