3 ?, ^' J) {0 [6 ^' N- U" rPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
* O% @9 Z2 C* F2 `9 R1 l$ ^9 E• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately/ c' I/ K% w/ @( }0 v/ N
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
% o9 E! }( o$ G4 y9 T1 \' @• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents% M( T, B& t. b+ o' z' [
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker" L0 s- w* x0 b0 X- F. q$ e
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events, [ ]+ @ A! W6 j
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events, F( d0 B8 E+ w }: o
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
; R, A: u$ g5 m4 L8 f9 |• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
# J5 r! K7 t* o* b• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person# l3 r1 t7 B8 b5 S$ y# [
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset4 m, K. G# y9 r% O- i
• Good English writing and oral communication skills5 f" j- @4 F5 e
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients4 R$ c8 }# J t. `6 m1 p
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds+ E; N. R; A- L) c c) |7 B

• Knowledge of immigrant services

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
% v4 }6 P7 E! X, V2 y7 d• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment

• Ability to work well under minimal supervision( I3 e$ D5 H. x, w% Z3 b
