0 p* ~* N: T: \% i1 `Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person5 t* d! q, y) k+ v$ I) U
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
5 A! u* ^1 V; q8 S% S• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately( k8 U' B* G6 n) l" k+ p
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter% D" l J* T3 _& _
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
) O& r) k- Q% f/ B1 p& h! r• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker5 S/ D$ \: V" O8 h; i
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
; K. M1 }# r9 Z$ d6 a• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
! @' k" ], L/ ^. S# M( t• Keep the reception area tidy and clean% ]$ [0 h+ e% e/ h" e/ q& c8 P
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters" O3 B b' _+ f0 |9 B5 K
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
, f) p1 y' U2 `2 V& Z: g+ B• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
3 A# v r' v; d• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
2 O" g. D( _ J7 [0 S• Good English writing and oral communication skills
: J- @, S, B3 W1 c• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
1 H- [( d6 C" m• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook: X/ M7 |3 ]- ~% h. u' V
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:
7 ?. g; r0 [- x% {% E) |• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
( k# P" R6 T2 f6 l# X• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
! C1 e# Y! N/ l% O• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism+ e' D/ L1 Q/ k8 e/ P9 E, c
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
