$ t, c: X3 Y2 E) c+ `( a& O2 e2 eTo support the Executive Director with fundraising, special events and will be instrumental in the development of our Social Enterprise. This position will also be working directly with children 6-12 years old to teach life skills such as self esteem, communication skills, peer relations using recreation and physical activities to promote growth. Small group facilitation, one-to-ones, family support, advocacy and referrals are used to achieve program outcomes.

This is a full time, one year term position working 37.5 hours per week with 10-15 hours per week dedicated to the children’s programming. (Continuation of this position will depend on available funding)7 I! u4 ~, H4 i" U( k" r3 [

Administrative Duties and Responsibilities include:
0 I# N" ]0 d) S3 Z• Working together with the Executive Director to solidify new funding opportunities and write funding reports as needed;
. J& x& i. Y, Y3 F4 H2 k9 S• Supporting in the overall development of programs and activities that benefit our community and our children;
& W: E/ O3 l2 ?• Maintaining and evaluating program outcomes;
9 X7 a# F' q2 S# m5 r0 k• Spearheading the further develop our social enterprise;

• Maintaining comprehensive and objective contact notes related to child or conversations with others about child;/ N* r8 i m4 T0 a( V6 l8 B
• Maintaining confidentiality related to all participant information;1 G, z% i5 [' ~6 c: t
• Liaising and/or advocate with school personnel, parent/guardian, and child, as required;6 `% G% @, O8 p2 T0 u
• Creatively planning, organizing, and evaluating small group and one-to-one activities) B- r& p3 |1 ?: o8 u5 L( ]
• Participating in establishing achievable program outcomes and employ group strategies and activities to achieve the same;' G4 C5 C, A( |2 ~
• Meeting with participants on a one-to-one basis to help them achieve success with their goals;

' p; P. }+ p) @# [, v• Participating in the planning and implementation of family activities for participants & families;

Qualifications:" b8 L* z6 m! n1 ^, h L# U1 G
• Degree in communications, human services or related field;7 R0 y9 a) Y) O2 ^; r: d+ M# O
• Extensive knowledge of the not for profit or voluntary sector;. ^1 g6 |& f3 h7 w
• Knowledge of all federal and provincial legislation applicable to voluntary sector organizations; ' {5 S1 O/ \% {' q# X, S6 L
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with experience in writing funding proposals and reports a must;! \( {9 O# i; ?6 z: i; \
• The abilities to multi-task, creatively problem solve, communicate effectively, foster teamwork, and build relationships are critical." \" t- ^6 m* I
• Extensive experience in group facilitation and working with children;
. u- K. D5 T2 q# d0 \* F4 `• Current certificates in Aboriginal Cultural Awareness, Suicide Intervention, Standard First Aid and CPR, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention are preferred;, }& ?6 A0 v; X) {
• Clear CYIM, Security Clearance, and Driver’s Abstract;$ R. \' \0 a5 J2 F6 e( k5 f
• Current valid drivers license;
+ t: B- ~5 s3 d• Knowledge of and comfort with the implementation of behavioural intervention strategies;
/ C" S# `, g! Y# C1 J& D• Conflict resolution skills;0 @' [+ V- w( l
• Clear understanding of professional boundaries;

Salary is negotiable and will depend on qualifications and experience.
