- submit information for community news

- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers( k* |9 }# k1 Y) E1 }! }
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties2 Y" F, L' \& I' V- A) v
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties: X! r5 x n5 ?9 F, w% ]
- provide volunteers for various programs . J6 v. y; ], |6 A. B2 E; r
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
$ z# G0 r0 Y/ y- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation0 U* P, w X/ X6 u" W. t v
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities4 P# ~2 r6 j$ }' Q
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
7 }; U1 y& o5 m7 P0 ], l6 B$ u- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports, `! Z6 Y8 ^9 \% r% Y
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed6 A0 A! a2 |/ w2 p; o* v- Z. P' {
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed) e2 Q/ `- a! R

- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

/ c# R9 `0 v( a/ a7 O- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers ! M1 j- C( ~8 x4 w/ i
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
) d) ]3 Y) p+ d1 y% h0 N- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

& Q7 \8 i4 [$ c: D$ q* s4 H- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education0 v8 o* w9 n9 ]0 P+ J
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills# D y. w3 g& ^3 C
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
3 J9 c" V. ]$ o7 M2 s- leadership skills* U# n ~ F, `
- management and supervision skills
# A; o( p5 e; N+ C) V2 V! ]- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
