- provide volunteers to update membership database0 ?" p) ~1 G l/ J# g- p0 j7 ~% K
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers/ O* Z: C" |1 \ W$ `- f
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties$ `$ f* W% O r% n9 O
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties# c- l- J! ?% u& O9 a
- provide volunteers for various programs
" V( o$ ~% F( g7 z- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
5 T2 w; q% @" v- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation/ w5 C) a; Q/ N3 W1 P+ S
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities* R6 }/ @/ X' p" t. N% T/ R6 _
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
3 _$ O0 x r, t- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
$ p5 b u T6 G& ?6 w! [- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
3 Y2 r9 F2 ^) W/ v) K8 {- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

. U( q% e- j- d, ]/ V8 C- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers + i2 k* z# W2 }! q0 l( f* H8 ~
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
) ~/ i- E* @0 n- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

t9 W6 _; q. \! ^4 S! W- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education- ~: }' K" I% Y- ~* C
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills8 n/ r8 d. I" g- {' o, N* G
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
- c) V* G' t( W* Z) Z- leadership skills
