- provide volunteers to update membership database8 @- M6 L4 _* c6 R2 T
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers* z1 j4 Y' U9 d1 b' U- a9 e7 h$ I
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties0 m2 {0 L+ A, Y% Y
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties6 q/ R. v! g; |/ j
- provide volunteers for various programs ) P4 ]& [' T! o( T
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
! g3 y# E! ~5 u: ~: M* }- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
2 F+ q$ K# l6 W+ r3 [6 W1 g$ {- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities5 A: ^( Y/ ^+ j- O8 [9 ]$ N
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services) C: t! Z6 {* _5 Y6 S a; {6 k
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports1 ?: O& _3 n. k" [9 b
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
4 S$ e' z2 _) c* e- H- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events 0 U- [- L+ }" A+ n3 V
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual 7 V! M. g V* d
- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers

- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis * l9 f& d3 ~! v. b& M C" S% M& P

# R& b% n8 u$ y, z4 R6 `8 Z- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education0 l+ z+ J! A, q" V7 W/ J
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills0 g; r0 I1 A7 X6 q; e/ S
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
