Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 8 m2 m0 [# p: t1 x8 f; `) S

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
9 {6 Y9 ?! U( R* K. U6 i0 P2 S• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
9 Z! y9 D" D: Q8 K. D/ r! T$ ?• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
6 D: U% u( \5 H• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
9 \+ }! u, T/ ]* j& ~• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents

• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events& P6 A( H( x( k6 o" ?' L6 k O
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events+ |7 ~# ?$ {' v4 q/ `
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
" l( x$ k4 B0 h8 F• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters, e' r ]! _5 R, b
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:' k$ M& P3 G5 ?$ \& a
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
( f2 u" o) C; o' ]• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
" A: e2 ]# K$ f• Good English writing and oral communication skills; ^) a7 h0 Q! L
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
4 v$ g0 F$ K/ K' k• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook6 X4 S! F3 L+ P- v+ m
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
7 n3 E( i* l+ X9 t6 Q1 m2 ^• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

+ R/ F }; ^: Z( H• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
/ O# Z. @- \9 m! z& e• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
5 ]. B' P: Y. G1 ~+ p) n• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
