Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. ) ?( W% n) O+ C5 m4 G- p9 U

) e7 \' e6 Q" @7 |• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
) \! z6 d8 B6 `' ~9 E& }- [• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
9 v9 U' \6 ^' O+ w& W! q v6 `$ u• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately, o, ]5 j0 |. x
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
5 _& T* Y% M% ^% [/ `6 R- Q• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents7 `! P+ }3 K2 l7 f& ^" ^, {
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
# _- v C8 Y) ~! J# `• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
- D7 C X W1 | u# `$ Z• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
- E7 f' l0 ^3 ]/ u3 W9 U• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
% u8 t2 P! a% r( S• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters7 }& E& R/ j ~& Z' X7 U
• Maintain front counter service files

• Report to ISP Program Manager

( m' E3 g+ L* ^! J5 i/ W% u' C$ L• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
4 Q- D8 v. m6 G, ]- ^• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
. i7 u2 b( D' T: B/ ]0 N2 m• Good English writing and oral communication skills% v+ Z. G- `% r
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
4 g' u. z# U3 w7 _9 E) s• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment7 |6 K/ T+ |; G F l4 q
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism4 s; b' w" G. d
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision# m2 W- t: D( N! N% I" u) l, q
