' E; k) F) U; P9 ~: eWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. & \* x9 a" S* E/ K; r

Key Responsibilities:
! A8 y2 s) H3 k• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person7 q% o9 y: o( {, O# F' I( U- A
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST( l% Q$ b8 [+ f' J0 Z$ s
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately& Q. @' ^# e2 v# C) P
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
& A5 u3 ~% L. K$ X) R3 J• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
( ?% `) i- Q I! o/ F/ X [) a• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker1 g$ a2 Y z. j3 i" d1 _
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
! Z3 f5 E) x: U/ O1 c' N& [• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
( E( [) R8 z M4 t• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
% J* @- |/ h- E( L* g+ l1 w• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters; m9 L$ v8 N7 U, b% q; W
• Maintain front counter service files9 L# q$ l. [: y9 g
• Perform general office duties as assigned3 I; [9 o* b3 e" c1 u8 ^" C T: H
• Report to ISP Program Manager2 [& [( ~/ e; M$ O/ P: C" a- F% p

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:8 `8 J q8 Q' Q$ H0 E, C
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person1 S$ x9 p. v0 [
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
P+ d; a8 Q; @ z• Good English writing and oral communication skills
' y+ C$ a: a* Z# I M* W1 Z; X• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
% v2 |1 ~% O/ X X) O8 p; G• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook5 X# s/ {: ^" O7 |- l' d
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
* y/ Y/ r$ s4 s• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:
' c# [& u6 M3 u! A! }: ?4 z• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
# g) Z" Y" V' ~6 ]7 e1 J• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment( x) y. k& S/ _9 J! |' u7 D
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
, H2 P m* r/ ?& [• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
