　　去年的欧美乐坛是“阿黛尔年”，而今年的格莱美也是这位23岁的“英国胖妞”的天下。在美国时间前晚举办的第54届格莱美音乐奖颁奖典礼中，阿黛尔六项提名全中，包揽了年度专辑、最佳流行歌手等大奖。

　　《Chasing Pavements》是Adele真正意义的成名曲。这首歌描写了她被交往六个月的前男友劈腿，在一天早上六点，Adele冲到前男友在的酒吧打了他一拳，随后就被赶了出来。在街上孤独一人的时候，Adele问自己：“我在追求什么？只是毫无结果而已！”于是，《Chasing Pavements》诞生了，歌曲中透露着一股淡淡的忧伤，副歌中不断的反问句带着一丝无奈也带着一丝笃定。整首歌横跨了爵士、蓝调和流行乐，在2009年的格莱美奖中，Adele凭借《Chasing Pavements》拿下最佳新人奖和最佳流行女歌手奖两个重量级奖项，同时还被提名了通类大奖年度最佳唱片和年度最佳歌曲。

　　《Someone Like You》是全美公告牌历史上第一首只有钢琴作为伴奏乐器的冠军单曲，同时也是近三年来第一首夺得全美冠军的抒情歌。在美国，《Someone Like You》一共拿下五周冠军，使Adele成为历史第四位同一年两首单曲都至少拿下五周冠军的女歌手。
