in low light are just a few features that are glaring improvements. The D800
/ R$ c( ?1 o& W) x0 s3 `, Z# A6 [allows me to concentrate on the light, the composition and my subject
* P; z* m9 b/ r6 dwithout having to think about much else. In years past, wedding photography; u1 r: O9 v# J7 H* |" u
was traditionally captured with medium-format equipment for maximum; q7 [' c; K3 u+ I5 P; |3 K7 T% M7 H
image quality. When the 35mm format was adopted within the genre, it was( I" M8 Q( M5 M' S% C( D" l$ f K4 }
widely accepted that image quality was compromised in lieu of speed and

When I’m shooting beauty and jewelry in the studio or fashion on location,

! F8 ^" ~1 |. _% D2 Y* F7 k# Vcameras always inspire me to test and explore, and all the useful features2 T Y+ ?: A3 y) @5 N# Q
in such a compact package will open huge creative possibilities for my highquality

To me, cameras are more like paintbrushes than technology. The goal is
/ S) y% [8 o" ~# P/ X Jnot megapixels or technique but the image, and while camera models
' g/ N1 ?& s2 o0 ^7 v) K) H/ ?% zare important, they are not the be-all or end-all. But after a lifetime using/ y2 L/ k, F) k8 r
countless cameras, I have found a new best friend. It was not love at first6 Y) v0 u/ u0 \
sight. The sharpness and detail were initially intimidating, exposing my flaws& u: ?% i& L% ^) E
like never before. Subtle camera movements showed and differences of& o* f! A4 \ p5 n: o: e$ K6 c
acuity between aperture choices on various lenses were apparent. But now I) ]; B$ o ~- S+ Z; F
am enthralled with this technology. Why? Because the images almost feel as. h5 j0 T1 q1 X: L6 F2 ?
though they were made with a 4x5 view camera! Special features like timelapse0 [: A$ h& j& @" a7 N
photography and the improved HD video quality and flexibility also add+ ]- T7 D; o; t$ q% V
tremendously to the camera’s personality. After spending a month with the
! l0 L4 U! Y& Z' |. h ~D800, I’ll never be the same again. Perhaps the best compliment I can express

architectural photography. From my hands-on experience I found that they

clean, clear and sharp files. This camera gives me the photographic flexibility, |/ J4 q% J4 r1 l3 v& O; O

range of light. It definitely takes my photographic versatility and image quality
