• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed- [# M0 r& c- x2 Z' R- c
• Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components6 l/ ~( q8 N# x: v X
• Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers
4 e6 f4 T7 v3 E% v• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams" ]# n2 s p" {- m) o/ s* ~
• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
# }8 M, P+ _2 O$ H( m• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment2 M) I% ^ ^6 I3 e( B8 S- X9 I K
• File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools$ x6 u" T B A) F0 [! m. e
• Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting5 @" |( @+ v: D! C* |; L6 M
• Mix paint, blend and match colors

• Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program ( g9 }6 X: ]) |8 G2 _/ U0 l3 f3 M. [
