Scope and Purpose of Job

J5 O/ {Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
; D1 s" M% @; ^Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
$ v0 Y. k3 @7 x; y5 \! Y8 J•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
8 U* L9 j8 C" Z5 s) Wo        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
* {- w' O8 A6 V•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
5 o: C9 U. D" a4 j$ [o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
" H# ~" I' E6 s•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
& \  n4 R- Z8 B* w- n$ so        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
7 U' L3 v" d: O' Z( ~# G4 Co        Assist in writing and new product specification
8 `4 Y, x7 U5 |: l# Y/ Ko        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
: v3 o- a7 c& ~8 h$ T6 ko        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

# }# {4 n1 o+ v- [•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
$ w5 H. s9 H" u/ Y0 N•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
/ v  l1 N4 B' u% w5 G) {7 q•        Ability to travel worldwide.
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
