Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.

& s$ ~8 ]+ R% p$ `6 ?! Z" m( D•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
( k. n0 y" ~' Z/ q$ x$ K3 [7 G•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
' s$ F: x* N/ r* g0 H- x•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
' h' [3 x6 w2 B7 Y•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
. h* e+ w, P! W$ U8 Ao        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
% X; X+ ~: m4 p3 s& d1 qo        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
. g8 A- @6 v) F4 N$ Ko        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
2 f0 F9 r/ Q) u, q6 c4 E4 |o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

•        Proficient in software use and writing.

•        Ability to travel worldwide.
