$ K! c6 H: ]5 ^; P% R- Y `Provide secondary triage of client issues and problems that have been escalated from the Service Desk * ]( `7 E2 w$ K' x2 F5 m7 h q. c
; l- q& m" h. wInstall and configure NetApp Data OnTap, HP EVA Storage Array hardware, HP Tape Backup products, CommVault Backup software, Legato NetWorker Backup software (Legacy) and various other appliances
; q0 i3 {. V, x5 @# C8 r: z- o! g. H, ?
Working with other OSS team members to identify, plan, and configure Solaris, HPUX, Linux and Windows servers for integration into the Storage and Backup environment - q7 t3 C/ L6 h, e8 b" b
8 T/ C% H7 I& f8 c* ^, p5 Z' W
Manage applications that support the Storage and Backup infrastructure, including CommVault, Legato NetWorker, DPM, Quest, and other custom applications

( `% h5 d1 ^4 f% o" o& G8 ~! J( d3 N8 x& VImplement and support vendor and industry best practices and procedures for the storage and backup environments 1 t8 Q7 o6 k) U$ u

Provide recommendations and design strategies to improve the operation of the environment based on analysis, trending and forecasting 1 e" z+ o2 N. I6 k3 V% ?' r& d
! D* e, _% p7 HDesign and implement processes and procedures to improve the operation of the environment.

@3 L1 e- I- N$ e# {Write and maintain Perl / shell scripts for day to day administration and automation ) r7 w$ s/ b/ i+ Q

Liaising with IT customers to determine their requirements and ensure that business needs are effectively translated into solutions - q5 [$ o5 T' k- ^! P- } c1 d
6 a$ }& l, q. s4 ?Provide after hours support for business critical systems . T; d" p$ Y- e9 l6 J C8 t7 g
Qualifications & G7 U C# X2 g3 h8 W0 b
A degree or diploma in Computing Science or Computer Engineering or a related Information Technology discipline
& u; P$ r' k5 m
# N& @. j5 z" {3 M' OExcellent working knowledge of SAN topologies and technologies with a primary emphasis on NetApp data OnTap, HP EVA storage arrays and Brocade switches.Previous experience managing a SAN with the above technologies is mandatory % U, {1 h3 i- q3 _- l+ @
. Y2 m5 z2 E& e5 m8 {* e% m! \Excellent working knowledge of CommVault Simpana 8 or higher, Legato NetWorker backup software 9 ^' A) V' X+ I& L$ |, M: o/ C
+ {1 m A& }; k" |. vExcellent working knowledge of storage virtualization technologies and concepts 5 W& W3 A7 ]. }

Previous experience with administration of Solaris, HPUX, Linux, and/or Windows would be an asset

7 l c5 Z6 H5 i+ q a6 \Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience communicating effectively with various levels of management ; }7 \ X1 L9 @

A high level understanding of IT technical infrastructure requirements for large enterprise deployments e: Y5 L( S8 g
9 p, O0 Y) {1 S/ N: k8 r( ]Ability to interpret business drivers and translate into technical solutions 4 ?- K$ C& I3 }$ g! |9 r
, W5 b; M* T0 T- [0 RThorough understanding of Information Technology business practices and processes, including ITIL

Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Visio, is an asset
