( }6 j, q' {, ]' cPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

% l j5 D" [ X, N2 d4 p• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person9 L% E6 @+ W/ I# t! `7 O
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST! t! @6 B. R4 X! Y! c
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately# i. P" R! E1 ]; m7 Y$ S
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter5 o+ W; {/ o9 R7 }: ]8 ]* D- i6 \
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
/ N9 E" R+ l% W9 z4 {• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents5 z- i1 ~8 F1 q9 {# Y
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
# I5 y+ P; } D1 v6 |• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
. L8 C0 ]7 {. i( P• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events/ _+ c& B$ t/ o: ?7 e; q! B
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean! y4 I4 m8 f2 U
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters0 N+ W/ b3 p$ u- U
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:! z! N; T5 x8 q
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
0 P, t! f. M) x- a0 h4 G; U6 z• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset, O) |1 y5 t# `. ]+ q `7 t+ G
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
3 g' m& J9 b' V1 v0 s% u% R• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients6 O0 B6 F9 T0 J- p: U9 v; F
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook* G9 W( C% h& g/ m& s$ d
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately e6 g# |5 y/ _
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:
: f( R) u+ U# ~( Z' |% D• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 3 M3 p& z9 g9 `4 m3 D
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
0 B% L8 ]# C" A- j4 |• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism( D# R! r8 F7 ]. k( [# N
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision2 r/ h( U/ y' B% ?1 z: ]7 H
