Hours of Work: Part-time (10 hours per week)

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. - s4 u, ^; c# d# c; q

Key Responsibilities:
) u% k3 R( S% i7 q1 I2 Z• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person: c* x: X% D/ t6 ^" Y
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
- O( X7 W+ @5 [$ l/ z• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
9 q* [- I+ V8 ?2 F• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
# s& v9 D. ]/ O5 x. }4 g! y• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
s7 L8 a) M, w! S. A/ b% W* W, Y• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
, p' p$ K( @- ^9 R% Y. m4 {• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters. E. i9 \" f) k) t
• Maintain front counter service files* r; w0 x$ ]0 ?/ O. \! P
• Perform general office duties as assigned6 O8 ?) ?2 |8 c8 Q: i
• Report to ISP Program Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
2 k% X4 {7 o% c" Z5 q! F* Z- P3 ]• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person p4 ^6 |( p* g9 i
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
2 f* H* s: ]; N2 m1 I" L. A* X$ t• Good English writing and oral communication skills
( ]( F5 \- z' \+ q- r2 N• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients$ k" m W5 K# J6 x8 }
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:8 C/ O" s2 z5 o3 W. o* m4 s: J* D3 O
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 7 k3 C$ N5 P2 d
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
( {; o2 o w, z' u' [- e• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
