9 A3 f# \3 f( tPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 9 q8 \) e7 V5 a4 u

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person- o M( U3 r' S( u8 D# n7 g
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
/ z, L( G1 V, s$ d0 L' G' @ t• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately! a" k% y4 I2 R" g( @, E* S
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter: m+ v: i& v2 a: T( B! H1 E
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
. _2 G- q/ D% u4 u( W• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
" a, y0 R. s2 E+ J I• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker2 e- K0 |. Q. k
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
# U/ Y/ x) a. h2 Y" [• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters |, c8 a7 G1 R7 g) m7 Q( q

• Perform general office duties as assigned

1 ^8 v2 ~7 G% j6 u• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
& d" m; Z, w- J; k& r• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset( ?* h& b2 Y7 P' f* j$ Z( F- L
• Good English writing and oral communication skills3 r5 F# w7 h a0 O4 ]% e
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
% S& E* g) Z' N O: o2 o• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
! c+ k0 w2 w, v& \( y, [0 t; @• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Knowledge of immigrant services+ }; z4 R/ v6 ]- {6 {5 g5 N1 `
Qualifications:# w8 F* a4 c# ^# L% z) N0 Z
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
- \* h& p; B4 N. Q/ H• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment; N2 z% M: `2 n* d) S
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism+ \6 g3 j1 D5 ], T( V4 k7 c
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
