& V C+ `; S* f: ePosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:/ k# x5 D2 `+ o. N, C( \
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
# \+ z, `0 }- ~1 C( R' j• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST7 a, P0 _) d: F4 x6 V1 y- Y% C9 [
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
, i y% y W; I7 ?- C5 i. U• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter9 e" o9 _$ O' z) o6 v* f% u
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings \; c* b$ { `4 R" \
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
$ }& v% F* J6 B! a• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters2 [2 n) o1 b" F/ T9 k2 g
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:2 E% S* w. `+ g/ ^' A: Z1 ?" P0 M( @
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person) r7 S+ Z' p/ O6 |+ {9 y: I* v
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset# s( m6 y3 |* m. J& b G
• Good English writing and oral communication skills: e: e. `* N$ p7 X
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients8 N4 ?! P* \$ C) A' P% y1 M* f
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook( |3 x& Z5 m, [/ v1 x6 x, ~
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately , M* F* r. d% C$ a3 Z) k( n
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds/ ` s0 z9 k7 Z* [( O
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment3 D7 B' b D9 }7 \. O
• Knowledge of immigrant services+ G% S* k2 d2 D# W8 u6 F, e
Qualifications:8 A5 h" m4 P+ i/ s' e
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
" C4 R% H9 f6 o- v1 B) v( l• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
$ f0 m/ p: m# i1 i3 ^• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
0 l% V8 z8 W6 a4 i, c) X- ~6 ]0 S• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
