Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker+ [: n- G; h; B- \4 U
Hours of Work: Part-time (10 hours per week)

* a0 V# T9 O+ O# w9 S$ _# `) VPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 4 o6 x: B# |% K; y+ f* e

Key Responsibilities:2 K/ y. F O' ]8 q7 C' \' T+ t
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person# ^/ Z7 `3 M+ r6 E
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST* I! K0 R& W- H1 M3 P3 t
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
' d m3 s" j- O" {• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
5 @( D' T" y7 k7 F. R7 \• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings) l( R2 f3 F! H2 a) ^- h
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
( @6 g& |# K; V b! o• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker6 P/ W1 c' n9 w n
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events% a, \" B" E4 {8 E: D
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events9 E8 }4 [3 {& o- |% F, d1 A
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
, U( C: ~% A j( s0 ?: L3 M• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters! E# A5 A* f& O4 \/ W2 I: u6 y* h
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:( ^ Y7 L7 ~' L8 \
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person3 c* B2 b6 a; ^6 n& t0 D( h
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
) b5 v- |4 i; `• Good English writing and oral communication skills
& ~' [8 f7 P4 [6 o. H) C5 ?• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
1 _5 z" }1 n# n. s0 a# C• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience " N' |) l+ r8 E6 h2 b
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment

• Ability to work well under minimal supervision0 _8 o. ^% G2 V1 `: y
