9 c( y$ l* X& Z6 g2 |9 X5 {YWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position.  The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties.
0 X" _4 ^0 `5 Q. q3 ?Job Responsibilities:- g, {1 n- W3 a& J+ ^7 v: Z( D0 S

Payroll:3 ^8 y8 x5 d0 W( Z9 U5 c
•        Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired
2 o0 u1 [5 J7 ]! ^•        Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll
: Q' w5 D$ e  N. _! ]8 Y, `•        Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records 4 V6 p% y. j3 J- M) x( \
•        Input benefit deductions into payroll* b$ c$ i! O; B6 k3 Q4 X( p* T
5 `% O! M; A; P4 `* [3 R, n
Reporting duties:
4 W' x$ V9 E- w; ~•        Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider
" ~  q1 \; T6 Z" {•        Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
6 d1 z8 A1 c' }•        Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s0 a( g( ]) A3 `0 s
•        Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority
& Q0 l% _1 `: L8 h( H, _•        Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations
$ u8 @7 N9 T, k: K0 K! c9 U  ?2 R( D! E7 c( c: x1 l
Compliance:9 ^# s8 v9 F0 B
•        Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll $ c8 @; H) V! p* F, w& k
•        Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.
9 S7 V$ M2 P6 l* S: _# _1 U: Y% \•        Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies
0 U- R2 V+ {( C( ^* p+ g•        Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting/ h! h4 |/ q. t8 i- z* N. z; J0 M

Accounts Receivable:8 w+ c; G4 X6 ~1 v* [; D9 D6 g9 _
•        Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit
, S5 V& G( c7 X6 r•        Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department
( T# Y8 ?, X, k; t! s) {  i•        Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments
7 G2 S% r& l- X( D  \7 J9 X•        Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing
" f) l1 u, t* t3 S, y! V& d0 d- y' i
Qualifications:
& H. A4 @2 N# }  f0 I, l# q& d9 K/ m
•        Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP
  Z3 U! j6 U! {5 d•        Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association5 K0 o8 R8 O  }  ~5 l# m, W
•        Minimum  2 years experience in a payroll related position
- N6 L$ U% Y8 ~' P•        Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office
4 Q% ^0 H4 |3 {. {, ?•        Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work
6 |, q- G6 E- h1 |9 j, D, l•        Establishes priorities, meets deadlines, and works well under pressure
( b7 M) S3 u5 [# |4 |+ M0 U•        Knowledge and experience of cash handling procedures4 |& O; R/ J- L9 i
