1. It's cool:cool 是青少年(teen-agers) 常用的字,(有时也用 debonaire)5 F0 ^2 i, r, T r2 c$ _, w. v
(可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard.
2 d6 ~. g% U8 l, ?- _3 Y8 K, X& C4 V2 l/ V# r! C, D
That's cool;he is cool;this is cool.
. J( L; Q j3 H* a, A- q1 ? U' } B& h$ A3 h; a) a: J- d+ D
Skydiving (或surfing) is cool.(跳伞或冲浪运动很不错) H3 f9 x; W: G% W2 G1 M
7 U/ G4 c0 x4 B' h! Z
主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。
9 C- J" V/ P7 P; |6 _; S& o4 S: s' E* @$ g) \$ I2 {) S7 k6 g
She (He) was cool in the past., W9 U; W. f$ _* n, h. [0 A$ b

He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人)
( @* W! G- a5 V' i8 j& z# @3 V6 Y, G: S
但是如果说:Are you cool?
/ N3 v+ Y1 U9 g# D# i: O
) i- X0 `0 ~$ `; D" }$ P$ b* c5 q She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not/ {8 e: N a" y7 `" a) h/ m

2. Are you trippin'?:trippin' 这个字,是由动词 trip 演变而来。 这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?)
7 j# v! U' [ @3 b( K7 O4 L- Q- Z7 q: `0 p- T' P$ n, B! y
They are trippin'. (= tripping)
6 d* D- I* W3 z0 v; ?3 G

4 G9 {) f8 T: m 3. He is a nerd:nerd (A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.) (IQ = Intelligence Quotient ; EQ = Emotional Quotient) nerd 可用复数,动词也能用其他时态。因此可以说:/ @5 Q2 T+ i* i8 l; Z
( N* M# t+ {. a: w8 v* | He used to be a nerd in high school.
. {0 {! p, y1 }

6 x" [; _ F% f* f( Z5 ^1 m) E+ N% o2 O& W0 ?6 k
1 l2 U/ \3 Z8 t4 G/ \" Q" b5 X: x8 A6 R6 F, m
He is a computer geek. (意思是:虽然他是书呆子,但电脑很棒)- F4 y' B$ {6 n" _* U+ ]
A' H+ Z. d0 @* R# F5 B6 c y3 P: \: i3 ^: i) ~8 w
I don't like him because he is a jerk.
- t' R' J, M" [- |- C5 j1 C. \1 P7 r2 x* z1 X0 J

Many jerks are working in our company.
1 z1 ^0 T# g5 T9 T0 Z$ Q

They are jerks; He was a jerk in the past; Mr. A has been jerk for years.7 y* D+ f2 q* p2 f) |

/ m6 ]" e* M+ O" U! Y( n, j
# }0 ^5 H/ g2 h0 U4 D. f2 G. c 4.
(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说:
9 g7 ~' g& y& B, U5 ^1 w6 K6 q6 g
Yo baby, are you trippin'?
2 D, _' Z4 R( d/ z8 }1 {7 ]& b% c( ]9 G) J$ S5 \4 {
May I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before.) B, g) R7 m& c+ R
诸如:( u; f R2 i/ z9 L$ Y' w" j
: k" } J- F; R5 \& j0 J( J Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?)& m( J1 C. I+ A; e# u! h, A
$ b- n/ w! Q/ M1 }
5. Catch you later! (a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等)( ]2 z2 o! w+ }9 Z& p
6 z0 ~/ Z& f Q" L$ D
有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again.
