Over last decade, I have used many window upgrade companies. Here are some of my suggestions:
) ~$ k: N; R' u5 w% ~- You really need triple-pane windows ,not only for the sound proof, but for the Edmonton winter. The price is not much differnt from double-pane but the performance almost doubled;. C( x/ ^: F" c
- I have tried many brands of windows, Hometech, Economic Windows, All-Weather windows, Jeldwen (by Home Depot). The best would be Hometech. All-weather is also good but the price is too high lately. I just had one big bay-window by Economic Windows in this April. Looks great but don't know how good for the real winter.0 ] l( O; a$ g8 n7 L
- Stay away from craps like Durabuilt or Sunrise Windows. Cheap stuff." j5 e' g/ e! q, f$ @; L" q
