1. It's cool.
( S* ]& e4 }- x( p: Q& @- s+ x+ L# w5 g9 g7 r# p
(可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard.
6 a0 P9 W( c" e5 n    That's cool;he is cool;this is cool. - }! Z2 a8 g9 e. T& L
    Skydiving (或surfing) is cool.(跳伞或冲浪运动很不错)
/ @5 H2 |; K# ^  L' P* v  r5 ]% [9 ^7 ], M, Q
主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。
    She (He) was cool in the past. $ @, Q) X" Z! j, |9 P# f
    That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫)
3 t# [4 t: {( w; `8 F    He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人) 6 t9 C/ i1 u5 Y' y7 h# ~5 C) j

0 j8 k' q/ o" e9 G但是如果说:Are you cool?
4 y! D& |$ g  V' M# j1 ^8 V) G" G    She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not
! e% U9 t& f* e  K    emotional. ' }) @2 u1 w1 e2 E) H1 r
    (注:许多华人把 cool 译成「很酷」)   J* W; C4 Y% D. f- `. x

; y% Y. R( C* J( `6 c' \2 {2. Are you trippin'?
; a8 |& `) H* H! z* R3 R
9 a9 G$ q. 这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?) 所以可以说: ; X/ W& S) x; R4 j; \: t
    They are trippin'. (= tripping) . c+ Y* w" t# s7 \7 R
    She (he) is trippin'.
% ]9 H" u: U  w  q: g& k: _Mr. A must be trippin'.
$ ^6 ]+ \' r) p4 f!
8 w: ^% K6 \; P
9 l7 i- R9 G( U/ p5 n) m) ]0 D8 F3. He is a nerd; a0 w% H8 E* L1 Z: ^0 A! F" H
3 J4 j. L. b2 l$ T9 K5 [5 h. S! e0 T
(A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.)
/ o0 T% b! c' D. c! e- x) u/ Q    He used to be a nerd in high school
0 J# Z* `; |8 V" i4 P/ v5 j0 Q( S  _4 O# x9 H- N
4. Yo baby3 ~3 r! z& n3 }5 c( J' p
$ R( Q- Y& b1 n  c& w
(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说:
" q: o' p  N9 g7 D- s+ A: a* N! ^2 N    Yo baby, are you trippin'?
" ?3 G; `- n! G3 R: \5 TMay I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before. ( q  B* v4 f- Q" d4 `. _- G
# d9 A, S! q, t2 g. S' U    Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?)
1 ?. p5 o8 \1 H% H( g. C/ p; j/ t
8 w$ _; p# _. c9 ]; Z5. She is a ho6 h* }. A0 J2 }$ u

(a girl or woman gives sex freely without charge),也就是说:She is very loose. 或 She is a loose woman (girl)。
    They are (were) hos.
3 U& x0 Q6 _4 k" ^1 h% M; x    There are quite a few hos in high schools. (a girl or woman is paid for sex.)
- H( Z) f. M9 T$ q, b2 a# q
: }7 [  ]+ _6 \6. Catch you later!
( ?  i0 t$ H, \. _, W4 W( \1 U2 a, Q* r! Z) r
(a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等)
" U) H* q5 x0 M6 s8 d" n/ Y9 H$ u有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again. + w; D$ K( b  `. `! W) K, Z3 [  U
