1. It's cool./ h* w- z& n5 g& Z6 }( u  D

8 K- L  \5 u+ Y5 ]" S% Y! (可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard.
/ v4 a4 C) |" l$ H& K; i& Q    That's cool;he is cool;this is cool.
6 Y. m% B: O/ m8 f4 d* ]5 G" ~    Skydiving (或surfing) is cool.(跳伞或冲浪运动很不错)
$ h" q9 b( h8 B, A
: s' m! T  b/ _! q主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。
8 w7 J1 C  N- G, S+ e6 l4 V6 C* x    She (He) was cool in the past.
- z  T. x, E. X    That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫)
3 d+ i! M& I" ]    He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人) , v3 Y& ?7 B4 q& w" |% ?, Y8 X8 u
6 {( u$ y, ]+ F: `, [
但是如果说:Are you cool?
She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not
, L! P9 M' l" ?) q    emotional.
1 x& w9 D8 l+ U5 q0 R2 |4 r6 V% r    (注:许多华人把 cool 译成「很酷」) * D2 p7 z9 @8 o

9 O0 g3 q! D* {* H" y+ i2. Are you trippin'?6 T9 v6 u6 e, O0 a8 H9 I# P0 q6 o8 @
  K6 ^; r; l) A
这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?)
    They are trippin'. (= tripping)
6 V8 B4 x; K+ f    She (he) is trippin'. & P; b" S2 A: A9 j* r
Mr. A must be trippin'.
' |0 Q7 z% t! [2 a; c% c' O  ]
& K' O' F1 Y3 h' M' w' }3. He is a nerd
- K: ^: |* M# n; k. z/ e! l9 \2 c5 e, m8 `8 |$ @
(A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.)
/ R9 h& M2 Q* B    He used to be a nerd in high school ' _6 h& \, i& k! b8 o: b' Y: f
) C$ t1 b4 C7 P  ~  @' s
4. Yo baby5 V5 J$ T2 \! m8 o# [- H. C' r1 W9 z
2 Z9 J2 ~; G7 d+ W" ~- G4 X% A
(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说:
. x: }6 `! t2 N* k    Yo baby, are you trippin'?
& o, d% B) ~/ ]/ aMay I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before. 4 K" X- g4 m. ]7 _6 T' U6 R
Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?)
( z0 ^5 q- ]9 V) I8 d1 x2 w
! K) T. n1 m9 K  T5. She is a ho  ~' ^9 `% [% e% K/ ~2 L
& a( }3 z+ T* U) e- X3 s
(a girl or woman gives sex freely without charge),也就是说:She is very loose. 或 She is a loose woman (girl)。
( n& S$ J( e, q/ F$ J# q    They are (were) hos. - _$ {% d" X' s, \( Z8 |$ ?
There are quite a few hos in high schools. (a girl or woman is paid for sex.)
, L* `% m- d7 z' s
! H6 n. |  V0 q  H& o+ |6. Catch you later!: o1 Y7 G2 L% W+ G, d% }; m

(a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等) $ u; @# U8 u2 D( E: m, H# \
有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again.
, U1 [; G: Z! \* G5 |# a(我要走了,再谈吧!)
