• conduct socio-economic market and policy research 6 y2 p; _: M7 w8 G0 C
• act as a knowledge broker between communities and policy makers, and influence public policies that affect low income earners
6 i& @8 y7 V6 X$ J: A! w# \1 x• develop socio-economic programs and manage their implementation % X! j# l0 `# n7 `4 G
• partner with other nonprofits across Canada to deliver programs % D. a- e! |3 K" o3 `3 F' p
• provide training and capacity building to frontline nonprofits

# ^1 T5 q% [7 O$ o) V! X& r• Facilitation of forums and training of trainers sessions (basic financial literacy) with staff at partner community organizations across Canada
; b6 d0 m" o# Z• Assistance in the development and design of financial literacy tools (ie- curriculum, videos etc)
7 O8 g) x% D, _: J• Coordination of activities and communication with delivery sites of the CCFL as required
% c+ O; i* k5 z1 T2 }( B! W• Working with the website and communications teams on CCFL communications activities
5 X8 f2 V- ~, p9 I• Working with evaluation and management information systems team e4 \/ M. p5 {$ a2 }; i- V4 C
• Other CCFL duties (reporting, evaluation, communications) as required ; o$ F6 J. s. [* X' F# b$ i( t- p$ w
Other Activities:
$ I6 {, w- I. X6 G0 X# `' Z8 v• Providing support to implement research and evaluation activities, solve implementation challenges, and fine-tune strategies + Q6 p# ?3 ]# K3 j
• Organizing and monitoring the collection of all evaluation forms, surveys, and reports from project partners % I% k6 y9 G# x' h; G6 B
• Working with in-house Management Information System staff to facilitate data input, analysis and reporting
# @7 m, v2 Y% ~- x1 l• Writing and editing of research and evaluation reports, project reports and internal progress reports
- j6 B6 @5 ^: _: e* r6 R• Participating in the development of Internet-based strategies for sharing findings/effective practices and for promoting learning 9 d3 E- ?% w) i
Primary Qualifications:
. ^1 p. |1 ?/ B0 y! d: d" g+ T• Demonstrated group facilitation experience 6 E6 z' i3 n% o
• Strong communication and public speaking skills; including comfortable with new technology and social media 7 _$ P1 i# A3 Y* W
• Able to travel across Canada to conduct training - _5 f7 E" Z; {/ n, A6 ^
• Entrepreneurial spirit, can proactively identify prospective opportunities
* x, F0 J/ S8 G. n• Highly motivated self-starter with team orientation; ability to build committed and collaborative teams : a. O' }0 T; X! d. Y
• Passion, enthusiasm and deep commitment to the SEDI mission, vision, values and goals

• Experience working directly with community organizations that serve segments of the population such as: youth, seniors, women, aboriginal peoples, newcomers to Canada etc ; ^: e5 ~; [+ v, h1 r
• Experience in ‘training of trainers’ activities or education

• Team player, able to deal effectively with multi-sectoral partners

• Computer skills: Word, ACCESS, Power Point etc.
