2 @6 V; c) s0 Y. [SEDI is hiring an in-house financial literacy trainer/coordinator who will help build financial literacy programs across Canada. 8 V4 \* q, X- m# \0 `5 t% y
SEDI is staffed to: 3 L; X7 G9 p2 @& x y/ \) M
• conduct socio-economic market and policy research ) ^4 I$ d& g; ?. z P) f1 c
• act as a knowledge broker between communities and policy makers, and influence public policies that affect low income earners
- [7 B; {' u( g. K' ~• develop socio-economic programs and manage their implementation
/ U# r! v5 t+ U! t" b% s: ~• partner with other nonprofits across Canada to deliver programs 0 V( V: P& m9 |
• provide training and capacity building to frontline nonprofits - w2 ~8 V( g U+ I! A
• work strategically with the public and private sectors to develop innovative responses

Primary Responsibilities and Activities: ( ^, B$ ~' M; P
• Facilitation of forums and training of trainers sessions (basic financial literacy) with staff at partner community organizations across Canada
% D+ C% }; }0 w3 ]. E+ c; A• Assistance in the development and design of financial literacy tools (ie- curriculum, videos etc) " M6 K$ F" `4 j
• Coordination of activities and communication with delivery sites of the CCFL as required
4 c5 G1 n- v \+ ?! |- S• Working with the website and communications teams on CCFL communications activities
8 }' W" ~1 v/ Z5 m• Working with evaluation and management information systems team ( v3 f C9 X4 w5 b% e4 Y$ Q
• Other CCFL duties (reporting, evaluation, communications) as required % U# u) N5 M; T: z7 k1 W
Other Activities:
$ _0 ?) o; k7 ?) G9 `• Providing support to implement research and evaluation activities, solve implementation challenges, and fine-tune strategies $ O; t" I d8 e
• Organizing and monitoring the collection of all evaluation forms, surveys, and reports from project partners , v8 }4 s, [$ _5 C
• Working with in-house Management Information System staff to facilitate data input, analysis and reporting
6 N. B& g$ L! {5 u! D• Writing and editing of research and evaluation reports, project reports and internal progress reports
' w, o a; n: f+ K- X• Participating in the development of Internet-based strategies for sharing findings/effective practices and for promoting learning

$ c8 e5 T% c: S& Q4 p• Strong communication and public speaking skills; including comfortable with new technology and social media
K: ~' I g3 R) M2 D• Able to travel across Canada to conduct training 2 N$ g1 b; K: k" `% [' i+ p
• Entrepreneurial spirit, can proactively identify prospective opportunities
! I2 V& W' G$ \8 m0 z• Highly motivated self-starter with team orientation; ability to build committed and collaborative teams

• Demonstrated understanding of basic financial literacy concepts * i5 e2 Q' I' ?# I. Z2 h k6 I) b
• Experience in working with economically vulnerable Canadians and the organizations that serve them " D* M+ B0 O$ y1 {- Q! M% {
• Experience working directly with community organizations that serve segments of the population such as: youth, seniors, women, aboriginal peoples, newcomers to Canada etc 9 I' {; t2 i2 V4 X. I
• Experience in ‘training of trainers’ activities or education
# f5 |1 h# H$ ^; Q3 s• Content / curriculum development experience

• Computer skills: Word, ACCESS, Power Point etc. . C& }* }& J4 l0 \$ v* e
• Ability in French (both written and oral) is an asset
