" b% L8 ~3 Z2 \- OSEDI is staffed to:
/ i4 p7 ?4 w) q$ f• conduct socio-economic market and policy research
5 W9 v9 \$ B& O3 R• act as a knowledge broker between communities and policy makers, and influence public policies that affect low income earners 1 L8 S' m1 d" l: L1 A# E
• develop socio-economic programs and manage their implementation
4 G! C# B7 F6 \% k9 U• partner with other nonprofits across Canada to deliver programs
R% L7 _5 w4 z6 D% ]* U• provide training and capacity building to frontline nonprofits ' T3 q' o* G; J3 Q( [
• work strategically with the public and private sectors to develop innovative responses
; E9 o# B1 K: S9 A$ D& v d• to work to reduce economic vulnerability in Canada
6 f8 M: T; J- z9 \, NPrimary Responsibilities and Activities: 1 t0 q r3 r1 Q1 V" X
• Facilitation of forums and training of trainers sessions (basic financial literacy) with staff at partner community organizations across Canada
/ q e1 z7 [6 D6 M/ ]0 b. J, N( S• Assistance in the development and design of financial literacy tools (ie- curriculum, videos etc) # ?7 ?: {8 p5 y, f! D$ I
• Coordination of activities and communication with delivery sites of the CCFL as required ' w) V4 W) o7 G% z( I
• Working with the website and communications teams on CCFL communications activities % S1 i1 P" Q- S
• Working with evaluation and management information systems team
, X2 W. j: M0 t! O• Other CCFL duties (reporting, evaluation, communications) as required ' e6 z* r+ o$ v+ O: J5 N7 b9 P
Other Activities: s5 L4 |% U$ X# c( n6 u$ U
• Providing support to implement research and evaluation activities, solve implementation challenges, and fine-tune strategies ' G3 K8 [+ i' {. u8 X- H4 O4 ~5 U
• Organizing and monitoring the collection of all evaluation forms, surveys, and reports from project partners 6 T0 W. t4 T" n- w. Z: `4 W3 V
• Working with in-house Management Information System staff to facilitate data input, analysis and reporting
" r: G' p" E/ F0 u• Writing and editing of research and evaluation reports, project reports and internal progress reports ' | X. Z0 I8 ]
• Participating in the development of Internet-based strategies for sharing findings/effective practices and for promoting learning 2 B5 O: N9 d6 T* M2 l0 O
Primary Qualifications:
( z& J. f9 k$ A2 z0 g+ [• Demonstrated group facilitation experience
% x) }& T* i8 v$ y, V3 x" U• Strong communication and public speaking skills; including comfortable with new technology and social media

• Entrepreneurial spirit, can proactively identify prospective opportunities " k8 l( v/ o, m# {
• Highly motivated self-starter with team orientation; ability to build committed and collaborative teams 8 b; X" a/ ~4 z% G4 N9 w3 A

• Demonstrated understanding of basic financial literacy concepts
- {( g0 T: p. v/ e: {: D/ \• Experience in working with economically vulnerable Canadians and the organizations that serve them
" y0 L& O9 v0 q- \3 b• Experience working directly with community organizations that serve segments of the population such as: youth, seniors, women, aboriginal peoples, newcomers to Canada etc
# v8 L: h5 l0 _0 a9 H N• Experience in ‘training of trainers’ activities or education " t/ i2 h# E1 w$ e) i
• Content / curriculum development experience `& i4 m+ j. r6 P
• Team player, able to deal effectively with multi-sectoral partners

• Computer skills: Word, ACCESS, Power Point etc. , G3 s4 y. {# i5 T1 P
• Ability in French (both written and oral) is an asset 2 e4 \% z5 D; a' c/ P; `. T+ j
• Policy research skill set is an asset
