An Edmonton man who operated a north-end daycare is facing numerous charges in connection to alleged sexual assaults against children at his daycare that span over 11 years.

) z' Q& o2 F- X' Z4 \Walter Edmund Nash, 60, and his wife had operated Montrose-area daycare, but the license was revoked back in 2002. Yet police say the couple continued to operate an unlicensed day home until late 2010.

* W8 j& Z8 R N7 UThe 60-year-old is charged with four counts of sexual assault, four counts of sexual interference, and two counts of invitation to sexual touching.6 w# I) g" H5 N' q$ B
% j n. I5 t* u6 MThe charges come from four victims, all of which were girls ranging in age from three to seven-years-old. The first allegation was brought forward in 2001, and police say the most recent allegation was brought to their attention in December of 2010.1 ~ W2 g5 l! o7 n( Z- m
