1. Recruitment, Selection and Orientation
$ s- @# B7 K9 w• Provide guidance and support for recruitment, sourcing, job postings, screening, interviews, reference checks, and selection practices, as well as job offers8 Q; H) j- l/ ]9 K
• Develop, administer and evaluate applicant tests
+ S# s! E. L9 S• Ensure job descriptions are kept current, X0 [, z- }. \
• Manage the new employee orientation and orientation programs% G0 K a, ^. K3 Q& `, T, o
• Support the administration of probation evaluations for all employees

k$ K8 N$ @ K% {2 O• Provide recommendations for policies and procedures; when identified as a priority and delegated by the General Manager, develop the necessary documentation and seek approval1 h g, h. c6 I5 a& T b$ \
 Manage all policies and procedures to ensure consistency, references are correct and there is no duplication or contradictions! Y) r0 k" X6 n
• Advise all employees, especially Team Leads and Managers, on interpretation and administration of policies, procedures, programs and legislative compliance& I. S" f! I, c% W4 w$ e4 J( B% o

3. Performance Management Support+ e$ U$ ~2 ^9 F0 [6 `/ V: {, y
• Monitor attendance/absenteeism and assist with the administration of performance management program
5 a' v% [6 ]- Z• Support Team Leads and Managers in the administration of discipline and employee coaching
$ ^' A m+ W. \5 |! `2 o# X• Provide resolutions to employee relation issues (e.g. employee complaints and harassment allegations); E% w j) T% O9 y
• Conduct exit interviews and provide management with analysis and recommendations2 r7 F v& w5 {. d* X- r
• Member of, and responsible for, the Rewards and Recognition Committee( u9 X& v1 m y; D

4. Human Resource Information Gathering1 `3 L8 C, Y; a' I# h: e$ V
• Maintain accurate records and compile statistical reports relating to personnel data – e.g. hires, absenteeism rates, performance appraisals
. i' A3 ?" j+ ~• Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of organization's personnel policies and practices

5. Management Support and Planning, v# U( b3 N( ]* V1 m7 @: B7 ~
• Provide input and support to the management team on employee relations issues. H/ l7 U" t2 p% b
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation

• Administer and record employee rewards, recognition and incentive programs: v W v2 `& K. i6 V( H
• Manage salary structure and job evaluation system, from time to time, as required- O* {" a8 c: W4 f% N; ^

7. Payroll and Benefits, f' u( {) G0 E% T$ o* O& h0 U
• Oversee payroll administration and maintain relationship with payroll provider
`# f% k F, t* o R3 w+ |• Administer and educate employees of benefits and maintain a sustainable relationship with insurance providers# R+ W C. t; I$ A
• Manage claims for short-term and long-term disability, and ensure effective return-to-work programs

3 V' w* Y% I2 y Minimum 5 years of experience as an HR generalist (series of progressive specialist roles will also be considered)8 P1 m) r1 }, |
 Minimum 2-year diploma, preferably in human resources or business administration specializing in HR, or related area of study (equivalencies will be considered)
/ L b6 q( A8 Q A CHRP designation is an asset
' F, d3 p3 S7 }4 k6 J3 c* U Experience in the health care industry is an asset0 a h) D6 Y( m G9 {9 q6 Y
 Experience managing change is preferred! i7 ?( J! ?' ]: m+ R3 ]
 Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
