We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

% d+ W  P5 ?( zReporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

# q+ o/ n1 }+ A$ ]$ T% f- Gathering and documenting requirements;

- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

2 @# @: n! S, j; y& r* q- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

' |( a+ y& t0 I. A& N, {- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

( o( F3 d1 ]1 h: S$ y& ?, |1 c- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

4 F8 l; g' z* {! ?* M5 ?: ]% ?- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

6 C% o: }* s; L0 E7 x  F2 J- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

0 x3 U6 G  x/ u( R- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

1 H! y7 B& c2 Y; G) a2 q. N6 q- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;

7 T& O2 M+ ?# o! s( C: F- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;
