听CBC  说他们要求涨5%，但后来同意4.5%。 他们的工作到底是多少呀？羡慕！

加拿大在政府公务员的薪资都必须经过严格审核通过的。

. ~" {9 R0 }6 S' \* JYes, 年薪８万 sounds like an inadequate number for city councils, but 1/3 of their salary is tax free, which means their disposable income equals to someone who is making 100k annually. Plus, they all have very good pension plan, health coverage and other career allowance/deduction every year. Actually, Mayor Mandel opposed to this raise, but his vote couldn't overturn the results.

我最喜欢这个市长了，加地税的时候也掉很多鳄鱼泪的，我当时也被感动的掉泪。政客的声誉比较低，都是他们自己搞的，记住只有上帝为大家（不含给教会交份子钱的）就行了
