Breaking News: Death at Jackpine mine

, }" N9 a8 W5 {( M- a: SShell Canada has confirmed to Mix News that a death has occurred at the Shell Albian Sands Jackpine oil sands mine 75 kilometres north of Fort McMurray.

# V4 s3 `9 ~3 M, y2 q; J IEmergency crews responded to the scene at around 7:15 am, and the individual was transported to the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre where they were pronounced dead.

Shell says it believes the death was an "isolated event", and "does not appear to be related to workplace activity".
