Thurlow and Marg Essington, who have lived in the neighbourhood for 35 years, could see the police forensics vehicle from their front window just a few houses away.

Lynn Gregory, vice-president of the Capilano Community League, was surprised to hear about the ongoing homicide investigation.+ e; i- t' Z8 G7 |% ]; O4 l9 N! v

“We get the odd B-and-E and car theft around here, but other than that, not too much (crime),” she said.' u6 X6 J) H& M5 L1 k* x; g
