, O0 [" z/ }9 B0 M0 f& n. M: T6 t) S Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
- L6 n5 F3 F4 ]- C* D% q2 Q6 G Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
$ k. S: l* _) z! |6 c3 o Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
- h: k* A5 Q" _5 y9 V, Z Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
- a0 a6 G  F$ U' I/ i5 O7 O) p6 v Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
 Social work degree or diploma
- r# H; ^8 ]0 s+ t7 \ Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
  E. ^: a1 F( l1 \' x) a' x Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
; h' |  S# F0 Y% K" @/ j Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
