 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
0 i$ F/ F5 ^, @/ c! a Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
% Y% }# V3 V/ G( y Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
4 G- ~0 K, c- P( M$ ^7 ` Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
2 N4 G1 P& l4 O/ E# `: j! t Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
0 z( l7 E8 n8 D' _' z  ~. Y Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
7 J2 N  a3 k1 |: [ Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
  {, W0 l5 g$ c+ V* ]1 W Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
% P4 |) J* t' A) S Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
$ b- f( Y5 ~  r4 \* r Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
6 p! ?; E  a! ^4 H3 H! N4 Z Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
