Delivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items* D1 y% A! A- r r. ~7 D" Q
Obtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments$ b+ X: e6 Q, e% x; H/ s, g
Ensures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound; }" D" e- u( h, q% g' A
Prioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
8 X6 A/ G. }7 ~Operates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions5 M# {* D) E7 e& P7 Q- K7 @
Performs related duties as required

Valid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years., h7 k( v1 O* \4 |! r* |* W
High School diploma; previous driving experience required" u" O7 Y! d2 S2 ~$ f- H9 m
Current certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification* j: F W: x0 S: x; G' v L
Training related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials
