  Duties
* s% p7 U7 d4 u( ADelivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
3 _0 \+ n; D; K2 j" P, j0 X$ NObtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments
8 c6 w% J' l- j( X- P+ o: u$ [8 J. cEnsures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound
# o4 l1 ~' _- Y9 C' L4 aPrioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
Operates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions

( ?& |3 E' }1 y3 x7 FValid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.

; P" |9 y* ^* i! f$ BCurrent certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification
8 P/ \2 \( G% r% \4 qTraining related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials
Ability to operate equipment including forklift, power-jack, pallet-jack, Johnson bar
Forklift operating certificate
