Duties
' g2 H. c0 `6 e" M# xDelivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
1 a1 K% u8 M: r! v" eObtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments9 P( n, c1 g* ]" A. s( D
Ensures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound
; i4 V/ s) Z" f! @+ u+ C7 NPrioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead& c, \2 B+ y0 u [2 n
Operates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions

3 j+ W) B# H4 b4 P" |Valid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.6 P: y8 |8 b2 H8 v- T7 @3 i
High School diploma; previous driving experience required, ~9 r3 `% T) M, ^
Current certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification
