Administration officials have long argued that there is no evidence school speed zones reduce the danger for children.( w5 d, }9 l* j! N' y! z4 B
) y I/ Y5 D1 ~1 h9 s, a% ["This is simply adding it to our set of solutions," Rick Millican, general manager of transportation, said. "Council is not saying if they approve it, put a school zone everywhere someone wants on.

"People are in a hurry, people are stressed out, they forget the speed limit and our children are very at risk when they are going to these places," she said.
