+ G" m" f1 w* m$ p# g' ^Key Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
& p. o  G9 c7 l# w3 ~& B6 v) r Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
! H, [8 G5 T" m: b# h& N* K# i4 s Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
' l* a7 j( [* Q% [0 c Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
% }0 s  s/ |7 y4 P. E Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
. m; F+ B/ l  |4 T/ v Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
- O0 U4 V5 x! w/ a' I' S) ^8 P Knowledge of community resources.
5 k5 o4 s2 ~8 @( S& c6 w/ y Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

# l/ z0 W) R' AThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
