 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
7 f$ Q& f0 D. \3 O( g) ~ Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
2 u2 ~; V+ U+ o. q Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
: H+ \, N: a& ~ Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
% C" w- b& g; y/ Z1 a* S2 P Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
/ U# ^+ V+ O6 S) q3 K Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
6 e; {, Y1 Y/ H9 t/ L; V* w Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

% Y! A# t( D+ ~: s8 c5 K
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
2 a$ `4 a# l8 X Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
0 u5 ?! T, E' u3 ]& o( K. \ Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
# k5 ?! q, k( h Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
! |9 [6 f1 G* r1 Q( k* v Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
