Key Responsibilities & Duties:

; |" \* X1 @) P, X1 D$ l Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
( ?( N+ R9 t6 c5 v  g* G4 ]0 ^$ d/ T Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
- B+ i( b+ G; T6 Z Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
" f( x: M) b8 y Completing required paperwork.
1 j* ?3 y1 Y; D7 R8 M, U" k Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
5 I. [5 @* j3 Q Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
, H$ u% [3 o* [3 }2 _ Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

( M# A* }8 q8 H3 u2 }Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
& ]1 ^& Z  J1 U4 d1 o Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

  F9 a1 q6 L' K/ IPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
& A3 g) }/ k" [  |' c9 zThere is a 3-month probationary period.
