Key Responsibilities & Duties:
4 n  \) o9 b$ @% f3 Z
 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
8 g; b+ i" ~& L2 I6 X2 k* N" { Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
# Z* N; y% [: K  a- t" G/ B) [ Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
2 K9 t- ]! x, U Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
; V& [6 t% x. r/ @/ |+ ^ Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
, I/ U3 ]$ ~* p) ?3 D! u* K- u Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
7 j* W- x0 Z0 e, [  w/ ]5 q Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
# a; P- b* K7 u) Q. K Knowledge of community resources.
7 d6 [  f1 N' y0 Y8 m Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
% b1 h( w3 H/ d- n" D- ]6 `; ]( d Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
