 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
0 W% l: e% B! a) L2 D+ A9 E5 h, F7 o Completing required paperwork.
% _7 J+ y5 H; X: k6 s$ E  E" | Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
+ ~( `, m7 F& }2 d' Y2 d' Q! c Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
! T/ }0 S. L$ R" v9 A; b Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

- K8 `. k2 ~+ S' @8 C Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
# Y# T' z& z5 X- S# Z& }' W* D4 B Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
0 f/ g- G$ L# ^# a' x3 n0 N Knowledge of community resources.
5 D2 ]6 d) u5 Y Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
; ]2 B4 f& @4 Y" o5 ^  k- W8 v Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
