Key Responsibilities & Duties:6 v# p; ?- ]4 \( T% v/ I, w6 _
; |" \* X1 @) P, X1 D$ l Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
( ?( N+ R9 t6 c5 v g* G4 ]0 ^$ d/ T Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
- B+ i( b+ G; T6 Z Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.

 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures./ E8 W- e6 c! p% R# }
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. ) v5 B+ C* n9 Z7 Z: T. p
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.

 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.$ l0 D& L% C7 S
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.) K5 `; G+ _/ s+ a
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.9 ]5 g* }9 u/ a
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
& ]1 ^& Z J1 U4 d1 o Knowledge of community resources.. J) _! V/ T" X/ H; L
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.- ]+ ?) z! X, u7 e: |7 F
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
