Key Responsibilities & Duties:

) I5 Y! a2 I! i: h' ]7 N8 h( { Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
9 K8 k& X  b- |8 ^7 C. H$ U, Z Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
7 \/ n, \$ h  k, D9 c) l8 Z Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
; J+ Z8 D0 x6 W9 s Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
- A9 Q7 a) z( z7 u Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:
" {2 A& q+ J- R8 }
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.

) u% l! [: G4 H* P Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
* T4 q2 V) l/ ~4 Z$ b4 W Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
% G' r: Q' ~' f# |4 ^& e3 a7 {There is a 3-month probationary period.
