6 t0 \4 j/ ~) \3 s1 j0 f; u& C Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
" Y9 p" Q9 A4 w1 M$ i Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.) m% s* y2 t+ i/ D1 a
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.% X4 @& K9 f5 o. X# a* O
 Completing required paperwork. I4 F I. ]0 J9 S/ y
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.& O w* y! x8 B7 W) T
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.5 o5 z3 Y( q( @! D6 z( Z
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. ( P2 r' C2 n' Z" i$ v4 h/ G
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
& t" V3 `7 x9 ~- G( ]; ]! O Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.. x/ _- G5 p0 D' s! b1 w( u
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

Qualifications:( L8 h1 X/ p. y4 u6 {
0 c+ N' W/ o; X6 G5 _5 a N Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
" t+ z! o N/ b4 }& R Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
$ w# \ C8 R* E9 _2 f# Q Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
9 c8 c, ~8 P) }, m }: d- X4 v Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.; t4 A$ v+ R, O" G
 Knowledge of community resources.
& H- ^7 q# q5 ^5 a. ` L Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.1 p& T: l) c/ I/ t9 }. A
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
" }, ~5 n3 }( U# _/ @This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006. ) i/ e. h6 e; A, u7 Z
There is a 3-month probationary period.
