Key Responsibilities & Duties:

# n" r! G: o$ q Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.; M( B+ f& {1 a% M
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
6 E5 `7 E/ j0 Y3 t, U Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
$ @" e( F @- v: X Completing required paperwork.

 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.( I9 A; Y" |6 [& U4 L5 z
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.

 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
2 e7 ?& \# B- R& Z8 S( k3 x# @ s Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.$ i3 n/ @5 v' ]! }: I
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.# `6 p* z6 a6 c! g, u+ G
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.; y3 |7 k, |) \) v1 |8 y
 Knowledge of community resources.# e9 S2 n4 H8 F% d3 J! p
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
- q+ p1 _ X o" O) X) e Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. % a9 s, z3 Y/ \+ r, H0 f
# @3 R/ L6 w DPosition:
' z& i( R. y1 PThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
