Key Responsibilities & Duties:

# n" r! G: o$ q Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
6 E5 `7 E/ j0 Y3 t, U Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
$ @" e( F  @- v: X Completing required paperwork.
. r% P$ C# |; ~" d. c/ o Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
8 I/ J: P5 }; }  K) g# _( I Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
+ m; l3 D0 E4 B' L! p( G" b Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

1 a3 z6 _- \6 Y2 e$ M) J( ZQualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
2 e7 ?& \# B- R& Z8 S( k3 x# @  s Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.

' z& i( R. y1 PThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
