Key Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
2 v; N# K# Z% w j+ e Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
0 U3 }+ I+ ^/ b& t Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.$ `: D8 Q0 Q& N' }6 B+ Y
 Completing required paperwork.
5 P g* j+ M. C% B Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.. g3 d" b2 W& J- J' N. \
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.) j) b3 {5 Q1 D J% A+ S
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.

Qualifications:

' x) ?. s- Q% U8 q' J/ f4 ] Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.( E, f# U/ ?! _' [. G3 n; t
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.8 e9 Q2 Q2 ^, H3 ^* I7 z$ m
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
9 C4 r9 \' N* t! w8 |0 W6 _ Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.2 C1 E: K" P! A/ ]
 Knowledge of community resources.8 w/ I; A: G; _8 c% i
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.. ]* D) p) d) V( z' _7 G
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. . d8 J$ f+ v3 Z2 {5 |* g

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
