Key Responsibilities & Duties:

1 p4 e9 u3 ]# J8 c Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
8 g3 `' B0 L  k/ K! A' z7 B Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
0 h0 @( U) b* z0 M Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
8 Z" W; E3 V' r& C% [ Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
0 a2 j" P; D" D) m1 w$ N Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

2 I/ a3 X( z0 N  o* G
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
' W" `+ F, c! s' g/ Q, G Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
1 Q+ H. z  u7 z: K1 x. M  N Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
: a: U% Y: u2 j: e$ W$ ] Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
$ i$ |8 x' R1 S( a( E7 J# g Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

. w" j1 ^3 R4 uThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
& F5 A# I) U3 A  Q( Z3 `2 Vstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
