 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.; R, |3 c/ p# D* e; Y

 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.

 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
5 b( z' }' y- s. K Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
" G' Z `: O/ [2 ^, K4 f1 D+ V Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.# Q0 Y4 ^1 I3 ?
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
! k" j6 h% W" |$ o! o1 M3 V Knowledge of community resources.
: V0 j6 Q3 y" ?" {" } Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
( s3 A( O5 U) R1 o Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
+ E! g& Z5 X. g7 k* a9 r4 b! HThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; / H) j! A. L' E( x* c/ Y
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period. |
