3 k8 L, X5 ^; { Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
+ W# R7 b/ a! B  p3 h' i- B Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
. P- W3 c5 r1 q# h Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
; e' i$ K, Q/ q! u& s' A2 t Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
, G+ w/ i2 ^5 J/ O1 T Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
7 e. @# j" M: q; O! l& N6 Q Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
" _: p( F0 [2 c. x Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
; F, @0 E2 w( K8 `6 n Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
) U- ?* _% T8 P( ?$ U Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
! B+ a- S* H+ H( Nstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
