0 Y: u8 L9 t' Q* `8 n Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
0 k: n  Z6 ]3 \- W+ X9 P Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
/ M$ ~$ b& L- K. ~! p" Y9 ^9 l* S( f Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
& R/ ^" K. W. y7 N6 |& N; L; h1 M# G Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
6 [+ q) J$ r6 }, ]8 I Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
  r3 q5 Z1 ^9 c+ D- B7 G" i7 q Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
) S+ p, s% D! p1 a Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
5 b( z' }' y- s. K Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
" G' Z  `: O/ [2 ^, K4 f1 D+ V Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
! k" j6 h% W" |$ o! o1 M3 V Knowledge of community resources.
: V0 j6 Q3 y" ?" {" } Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
( s3 A( O5 U) R1 o Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.
% j" `5 x7 J0 d, j: ]! F
Position:
+ E! g& Z5 X. g7 k* a9 r4 b! HThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
