Key Responsibilities & Duties:

& }- q( o5 `/ s5 n0 [ Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
. M& w% j3 M# _: S3 r; h8 e+ L Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
6 _4 U9 d% x( L8 f+ w6 U6 ~) V( T Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth., h! T& y7 G' G' E. Y$ E/ g6 m F
 Completing required paperwork.

 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.: q T# ^# x2 ?8 G9 q
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. 2 y% t' |: M$ h8 L# z
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.' g) h3 |2 H4 b# \& V) B; \
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
; T5 K/ [0 q6 `# t s* o; e Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth." D: c/ K6 e. ~/ ]. B( Y, n2 C+ g" L
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.# L; J4 L) F0 D/ B4 d
 Knowledge of community resources.
$ ?6 r$ a, C9 i+ w- g ` Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.* E, ?7 u- J9 T
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
