Major Responsibilities:
' n$ C/ r, H4 x, L- l; G•        Process research equipment design;
$ I6 [% z5 P3 |8 @$ T% B•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
+ [' k. ]6 b+ Q( @& p- E- H•        Others.

Qualifications:
' }6 s; _) B- {! [5 |3 }" X•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
- \* a9 K' `8 t) ]: |: ^•        Equipment design experience is required;
" Y- h: F+ O+ g•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
•        Familiar with CAD software;
5 a# `3 s- S' U" t; E•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
( h& q( y5 W3 l' I3 h& E- a•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

7 x( A9 `+ W( a5 P* y: N4 PCompensation:
' Y+ X; [2 y2 HSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
