An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

Major Responsibilities:
0 Z' k( b! G& L$ |7 S# H; H% q  u•        Process research equipment design;
% e0 d0 U5 g: d- U•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
  Y: w, Q. `. S2 N" v; r•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;

$ x, x' h( h' d3 cQualifications:
•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
•        Equipment design experience is required;
8 Q8 K* {1 N4 ~. t3 Q# j•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
+ W$ h* f2 V/ a( L% C•        Familiar with CAD software;
•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
- X, d& o& A: j' U4 {•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

& N7 C$ H9 a  TCompensation:
" Q* I1 m: e' M% u9 d& rSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
