Key Responsibilities & Duties:
$ j: X% Y; U6 I3 |. Y, Q0 G
 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
! n8 l7 w0 x' V0 J Completing required paperwork.
. M" I+ y, k7 B  |* @ Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
  |5 p8 v6 K0 N: e+ ]6 p1 L Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
& J0 i$ m5 `0 d  y% y3 b5 W) F Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
+ I1 b! G2 }. x. n  E Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
