 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
# m5 [. `2 h' @. R: e Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
7 y& U3 r5 b0 ~' ?2 h8 i Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
( I, I4 E0 I% x! b Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
3 _& Q& C! @4 { Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
" W8 v/ h  ?& d3 a* Q Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:
1 n2 }" E- I- m0 X. z
' L0 z: x, z5 N7 `1 s Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
0 N% F: V6 `5 M Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
- ^7 p# ~( @5 Y$ ~3 c- l Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
1 [( \8 a5 m( }1 D2 O& I Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
/ G7 g/ M' o$ V+ W. E) y Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
2 \0 h, ]& l: z/ b Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

9 m& F' t$ ]1 c, jPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
