- Q, e  d, }6 a2 oKey Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
8 N7 M* R: r7 A Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
5 V* y5 P/ Q+ o8 o* H, B Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
3 p+ _( t1 c, W& F8 F$ [4 I Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
* o! `! Z- p- h Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
, ~" }( w- M4 p/ _* h+ V0 R Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

* S, Y9 g% w$ d0 H4 o$ hQualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
  f. ]% S3 l8 f& Z9 e Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
; k. A# |6 ]! A% ~+ ]) g" b Knowledge of community resources.
1 A/ e. O2 ?. {/ }+ X* { Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
  y1 o2 w0 l  K( u4 |! H5 Ustarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
