 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
5 s6 i+ y0 q* k. S9 l Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
" Y+ S& y" f: j& `; ~; i Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.0 g- _1 d1 l7 m+ D) r
 Completing required paperwork.
6 j/ j9 D5 h/ }  Z% a9 E Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
- a- P+ ~( x6 i0 E: Z Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.: Z) v. E5 O! _6 Z" t' x; X
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
  }& f1 m+ Q0 y8 K0 b Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.2 N5 v+ X) l# l( j9 b& `: W& `
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
% n2 Y) `4 d% B/ P% C, g Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.* j8 c/ }' Q" T
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:3 q! d  k7 r3 y8 g1 ^6 F+ G
& V+ z/ i" Q  b+ p
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
' n% K& K$ m- q( H3 C Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
, _. J# q/ n0 ]) }/ M Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.* k8 ]! ^5 L8 T
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.0 g2 T1 |4 g2 w
 Knowledge of community resources./ p. c. F, T" h) T0 V( [* Q' h
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance." i# w& G4 J- G
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:2 A) h# P8 b3 P2 q
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; 5 S6 K; e0 X, E3 D" [, N# W' q
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period. + l1 d# A0 P% t5 [
