$ [2 e4 ]# D: B- S3 _Key Responsibilities & Duties:
4 V5 U8 R" k9 }- J) p) T
 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
, X9 r  O* V1 g6 X7 c Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
( V/ M3 j" [8 Z! w- z- f: h/ ?6 d6 a Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
& ^4 X$ A$ E5 s Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
8 C8 Z9 G* ?7 L0 m+ |- ~" J1 Q Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


Qualifications:

: p9 F% D8 }9 F6 K2 V/ C1 q Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
% @$ O5 M, @7 l/ n+ U3 u0 ^- _ Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
) s) r* {0 n9 U( Y: \/ M Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
9 a/ E) m* o1 u$ F Knowledge of community resources.
/ w5 V0 l* S3 Q0 w: p* G Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
( J& e1 v7 [; s; M# y0 tThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
3 q7 j/ o4 l- H! ostarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
