: V. J- X1 T9 ^9 V9 [3 a* r/ i Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
2 O9 R  m" A6 o% O0 d. J+ p Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
( D' @( t- u6 D9 Q3 ? Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
/ f0 k1 C' y  j7 P5 b% F2 X8 { Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
+ {' F" S, n, h, t1 F6 T Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
7 y% y4 g( Y7 I( \# e Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
9 F+ o' y! o! j% |0 v Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


1 g! x0 i# O& E' x( F2 eQualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
# |# u+ _9 r+ H+ d4 N Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

) x2 y7 z. ^$ P  {, JThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
, A3 _- L/ n1 xstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
