Our Employment/Career Counselors provide professional support and assistance to our customers as they work towards meeting their employment needs. Qualifications that we typically look for in our team members include:
5 P/ f ~; K5 P ?8 dPost-Secondary education in career development, human resources or related fields 3 ?- w/ q8 s3 Z9 E! U
Understanding of, and demonstrated application of, the employment/Career counselling/coaching role ; e" w2 |6 n( _$ L* }. S8 x
Experience working with clients experiencing difficulty securing employment and a commitment to motivate and encourage such participants ( K' Z2 j, @! g& G; }, U; y
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
( [+ T% @# m4 v' c; b& GExperience in providing information in a group session and/or individually for one to one appointments
, \, ]4 W* I) X2 e* P# LCurrent knowledge of greater Edmonton labour market
