Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

9 e( k; U# p" s% s- c0 c7 y' H* z, @KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
% e( b0 s5 S3 J        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
3 H* \: ~4 R+ k2 i. ]- n# K        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
' @. [& j9 G; |9 x. e        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

7 T' X4 L& _0 W  c4 }; PQUALIFICATIONS:
& G- B/ a5 ~% U•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
: k5 I2 M# }7 h# x( d•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
( s5 C8 J$ t$ i, L* J•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
" E2 [) n+ y1 q- g+ y; B, t•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
1 I& k& e4 y: F, S# Q8 i( m•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
2 g+ C( a  }+ g•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
% `+ w3 _- x9 g5 [•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
