Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
, R2 z( G0 T  A1 |        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
# V8 j; H) X: Q# P1 z8 e        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

3 X4 v7 U/ h! y0 {QUALIFICATIONS:
2 o9 a8 y; J" P6 p* J% |•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
7 j2 Q5 b4 t$ i# ^& y2 {•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
, o2 ^5 M+ S4 x: I2 S+ v•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
$ q! |# e& L  {# D0 a' J: Q•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
% K% d6 x$ d* |9 {/ j" P5 {•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
•        Ability to work independently as well as in a team
