Salary:         $40,462 - $56,410 per year, depending on education and experience. 4 z" _9 y& F" I+ Q7 H" T4 n1 }9 ~/ {

-        facilitate recruitment of participants for the Keshotu Leadership Academy! N9 W, Z8 z* ]; ~. v. x$ o- Z
-        conduct interviews to ensure participants have necessary qualities
* Y( P/ ^5 J9 C, @8 P+ @9 j; A5 `* W: I; D: d. O& u6 N
Organize Leadership Training Sessions( Y" P- p& O5 C  X5 F
-        locate an appropriate venue for weekly meetings
- _2 d+ `- d) Y6 b! [$ U2 j-        set up a plan for the span of the project (Jan 08 – Dec 08) for weekly meetings3 a& U3 u% [0 |7 {+ J
-        use project proposal to ensure time is spent with all identified areas

Plan and Facilitate identified public events
4 F5 ~1 T$ r8 K% Y# [/ ?! M-        with youth participants* G. K! @; d' h+ n. w! E

Media coverage' \( l: G, N1 D
-        work with media consultant to ensure good coverage of project
4 {& H1 M. @/ d: o% ~4 ~) ^1 A% C; s8 Z$ x* d
Networking
9 l, _& l8 ]$ i0 N5 _-        attend meetings relevant to organizational mandate
" r7 {+ d; i9 X% P" j5 [0 L/ V) j  T-        create and maintain relationships with community groups, individuals, institutions that are interested in race relations# W$ s; `+ V: L, O% J4 c

& `) _8 B2 L8 o/ q! yProfessional Development 4 \- Q/ d. l4 J4 e
-        Be informed on current issues on race relations and other areas relevant to the position.

Proposal Creation3 @& T/ N5 @6 v7 \2 j  l
-        With program manager, create proposals to continue funding of this project. 7 L) V8 M7 r+ B3 m$ G$ j
-        Also with program manager, create a logic model for each project with activities; short, medium, and long term outcomes; and indicators
' e& J! I+ b# N6 \. e! g! H7 h4 \: B* q* J9 W( ]
Reports to Funders and Program Manager
. \1 f* O5 G# H' ]. u8 H8 J8 J-        submit quarterly reports to program manager and timely reports according to requirements of each funder4 g8 A+ y# @4 Y, z1 `

Project Evaluation
- [2 u9 X+ q% J. ?- _* Y-        work with external evaluation consultant to collect appropriate data for evaluation
: a5 b, d. K8 y: R2 ?-        include in all interim and final reports, outcome measures using indicators from logic model( C  _; e, E( ~7 n9 b
& F( ^* z0 ~5 B$ S: v8 B6 N3 Q) \
* R3 A3 P% x: o/ P' t
Qualifications for this Position
0 B2 W5 o6 |+ Q3 K( K5 B# Q. W. ^2 ]" p, z9 r# n0 D7 p4 e0 w
-        excellent knowledge of the issue of racism in Canadian society8 _+ ^' a0 R& X& Y5 }
-        demonstrated leadership abilities with youth
3 F* l& \9 @' O- o! d0 `5 o-        experience with project coordination+ z2 n7 J$ f8 ~$ B% C  |
-        degree or diploma in human services field
0 K9 I& [. d% B2 ~/ q% p-        developed knowledge and skills in one or more performing arts
) e, J  \  r; h0 \& N3 [8 o
: U# @7 v2 y( ^+ @6 X6 }& D% [' N; [
