The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

4 d$ i5 @' n. D) a8 u" x1 T§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers7 I& v% x% p" K/ W: \! z+ q. A! |
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution
$ N4 a; b" j$ S! W§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation; s+ ?% q* B! M! r
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
' L/ C* y) ^8 A§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
: q, ~* G* ]4 ]0 X7 ^§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert
; b" _+ ]1 n3 b8 H0 u§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties
, \- x5 P) Q  a' l§ Special projects as required
+ d5 _/ n; M/ @  ]1 I6 r§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls

Qualifications:
! l$ D7 O7 }7 b! E' _$ d1 D§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience% F7 ^* ^: f3 ^4 J6 b
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision
% q+ `: S; b. l) s% A§ Fundamental commitment to customer service6 }8 [/ Q# |$ w1 C2 k
§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues% C- }4 q) A% x9 n- r
§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware
1 V: g, {! t/ |" H3 y5 K§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software( p* H" G& h3 T1 W& ^3 u; {
§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems/ ^+ ?" w, s+ e; Z, {/ c* Y

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). ; P1 _5 `* u/ q: D/ l9 y

- V, U( e7 Q7 X5 A8 A% I§ Manage a stable local IT environment
3 c1 T% E9 j4 q' q- y- A% n§ Manage and coach staff in IT group' X& Z' e! L1 f* I- |4 z5 v
§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support! r0 Z: q6 Z  c/ f7 D
§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
" D/ w8 F) ?0 G3 y§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports
: H6 u  C5 ]0 P# G7 M§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation
! i# V: Y0 p* e8 d8 M§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to3 ^0 Z, V9 F/ C- C. A, d* i
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times3 T$ ?0 C6 H: T* s# b3 m: P: J
§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access
* T# m- `7 H% D: a1 C- ~§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
' U2 \" I' o! t/ L! r' l9 Q§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan# i- d) {% A0 k+ `
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk  l! Y) I& E" S/ H. R0 M2 d4 ?
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert
9 k% _( @, h/ q1 B§ Provide technical and procedural recommendations to management
$ Q: E/ y1 [. f, d  _§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance
$ a/ ]  e2 F$ [# Z5 }5 q§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT

§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers% K- ?% O% Y0 ?# w; g8 p
§ Collaboration on development of internal intranet and external website maintenance, T) J/ ?& |0 U% |
§ Manage all printers in the building

呵呵,不是manager 就是administration.

在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
