The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

$ k  s; M( H9 U+ m; p* g+ o, m§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
+ I$ f, r  \8 S  S§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution ' @. n1 C+ H! Q# J
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
$ v4 K/ D. J+ V0 Z6 n§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times% d# W) V. t0 F7 _8 @
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk# a2 v1 G5 L) c6 `) V) k
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert7 L2 Q* A$ ?7 J! O8 {9 K' |
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties
/ i9 r( [" o" y6 a§ Special projects as required

§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience
7 v4 ^! ]; X# l6 x& n! Y% i) E§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision( g+ L9 R# K3 F2 e$ l) c0 Z
§ Fundamental commitment to customer service7 |% z: @0 X- S* i$ X/ Q! F
§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues* F6 r4 }( i2 _: |3 p' I; a+ J
§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware# e1 a/ u: r: v- o+ P
§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software# j0 B  t) V% I" h" {9 M
§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

Position Summary:! i6 h; {5 _/ E- |/ H1 q( `3 k6 `
The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). ( W! ~7 ~; F2 F8 `) S

Responsibilities:
! V; P' n! z( }§ Manage a stable local IT environment / Q, O2 C2 Y. f+ j' |- j
§ Manage and coach staff in IT group
# d6 c( _+ w1 C§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support
& _6 z2 R4 s0 `; \7 ~- `* L. A§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
6 i2 H5 h$ r6 c& l; H6 {§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports5 O1 ]" B+ f+ y2 o
§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation7 ~! S+ n3 x5 c0 u5 V" l# ?
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to# s4 Y5 ~! a4 a3 W  v1 d/ l
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times% j7 }4 {7 w% ]( b( Y. B, L' E
§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access/ J) }. i/ n9 c% q( `4 j9 M; h( g
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
2 a" Q+ _& }3 J6 W+ w9 m§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan, b& n9 L: V. b% U
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk2 u5 s% e' N4 ^
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert% S; Y6 H" }* R2 w
§ Provide technical and procedural recommendations to management4 X* E) r" ?6 q
§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance
/ I( E6 C- t. o" B4 A7 [§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT
; V- W0 T. t4 c$ f§ Coordinate and support end user training
$ K$ @. I- `2 I9 b& g§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers; P% [( F1 P" F/ J+ m  j% n/ l! J
§ Collaboration on development of internal intranet and external website maintenance3 o: k; e! G% f6 l) V' ?

§ Able to manage a local IT environment while working within a Corporate IT structure at a national level

呵呵,不是manager 就是administration.6 q" u6 l5 K! C3 r

5 t& H1 Q6 n7 T1 d- I- H" |$ P5 f在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
