The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.+ M3 T, H' ^, @3 |

Responsibilities:
$ u1 i, i9 V  d* h9 N; l§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers! B1 m% V3 |" S0 @  K( Y( q
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution
1 A1 i$ ~/ z0 ]. V  L) H§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation1 q3 ~- I& I! c% w& o; x
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
. r& o! Y8 V% s/ G- K$ t0 Y§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
; @: X8 c+ k5 M) r# m( H* `$ _§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert
: E( v  F2 x/ z% e2 Q§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties
. A$ g6 _1 D# d7 g0 b' C§ Special projects as required

§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience! t! I# M* U. o8 s
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision5 f' b0 q1 Q$ ~' E& Q5 S
§ Fundamental commitment to customer service
" Q* l. J9 |- k) d% V§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues
3 B! `# Q1 m4 J: G' D+ u, n§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware
) J% `. {6 f* O5 K# I. {1 l4 p§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software% b) O. n2 ?: s" c- H
§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

Responsibilities:
, |6 ^! d2 l' ]" f! N# X- q§ Manage a stable local IT environment
1 C3 y: d: t! D§ Manage and coach staff in IT group1 O# u7 D5 E/ C7 k' c- B3 x
§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support3 c; Q; \7 R( G* |5 x1 }
§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
/ d: S4 N. K+ i! P2 k0 B§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports
6 x0 s, g! G2 ?; Z  Z$ r§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation
1 R/ `, \6 D1 \§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
6 v7 {- _& @; _( [5 p§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
# P& ~3 f% a/ |/ _§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access  P* o, l' C; K4 k# e/ `$ K. y
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures- Z( E3 T' ~1 \' M7 V9 A
§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan. Y& F/ g6 I9 u$ x, t4 ]
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
% v* \( S. \- x- |§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert/ w, H1 \1 q5 c2 G
§ Provide technical and procedural recommendations to management& K+ T2 O; E0 ]2 M; T2 h+ S/ r
§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance
0 u. n1 l8 o! ?4 m, V6 S  B§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT
, b$ a* d% u; Z9 `' t. W§ Coordinate and support end user training+ y1 I' Y2 f' p$ k* T0 W  B2 Z
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers
- {, ]* U6 V& G& f§ Collaboration on development of internal intranet and external website maintenance0 Z4 Y& u/ y6 V% L2 b% B. R( N0 ^

Qualifications:
9 }8 a) {/ I1 H( l! z9 \§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 5 years related work experience

§ Able to manage a local IT environment while working within a Corporate IT structure at a national level

在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
