Summer Job Opportunity for
Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

Responsibilities:
-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
* x0 `: U1 e4 [-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
* n( _5 c& U' R; M( G5 B. W1 ?) p$ H% l-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
7 j# `' V: g. u2 E9 b6 x' [! `' p-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

! q% _( R/ o5 ?. L9 @& J, j% fQualifications:
0 V& V: l' k% S9 p! t& |1 f6 Q3 i-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
" W$ }2 \" s) t5 Y9 S1 ]-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
* N& [4 x( T& N% L, {! w) Q-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
8 H- ~) Y4 {7 K; m! _-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Other Information:
-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
-        Employment term is May 25 to August 31, 2010

Salary
