Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

; L$ u  W, I& Z2 x# c-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
% P, e9 m6 O" {; u- L/ D: W1 e3 Y-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
0 L8 m7 J* a. |9 m) m-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
0 n" i7 {6 n* c& `$ j3 ?-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
4 W# o5 r3 P/ @, D4 p-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
8 l- h; A) ?# Z+ o0 {-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
& N( V3 R1 C2 m& d2 C-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

/ w( r- D3 x5 ]% k# M2 W-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
-        Employment term is May 25 to August 31, 2010
