Two cutler –hammer advantage starters are doing the same thing:

It is a cycle.

Swap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine.
2 j7 e. W4 B. J4 e% f( N8 BThe problem should be inside the bucket., G7 i. I ~8 v4 c
9 b. X4 O6 ` F2 YWhen the problem happened, we observed that the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.1 w9 |2 X* X4 g9 D- k( Y2 a! J- }0 N
Use a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.
: @! T( E `3 L Y2 }7 D1 tConfirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.

They have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered the connection and tried again.# L2 w: d3 ]2 a2 Z* _ W5 G
It is getting better this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working.
